how many actually read manifestos and know what was promised? it was a moritorium, defined as "a temporary prohibition". i know these details dont matter in the public areana, but this is what edge politicans one way or t'other.
It’s not really democracy though is it?
I’m not naive to think that all parties don’t do similar things.
Fracking has had a fair bit of press, not a trivial matter I would think.

Chief Whip's gone

I'm so glad people knew what they were voting for, or I'd be starting to get worried :lolol:

Labour MP Jess Phillips has just said in a tweet that there's a "massive row" between Tory MPs in the voting lobby at Westminster.

It comes after the government threatened to withdraw the whip from Tory MPs who didn't vote the way they wanted, before now appearing to row back on that.

Worth watching just how angry the Tory back benchers were during the closing speech in the fracking debate. Truss won’t see out the week imo

There has also been 2 rather big game changing events since the manifest, we are not in the same world.

Which realistically should lead to a general election of course.

Every time you assume things might settle down, something else blows up in their face.

It surely cannot go on like this. Surely.

She's managed to do the impossible and out-circus Johnson.

There has got to be a General Election now.

But there won't be.

Deputy speaker talks of disorder in the voting lobby

There's a lot going on in the Commons right now.
Deputy Speaker Eleanor Laing has just called for order.
"Will the sergeant please investigate the disorder in the 'no' lobby," she asks.
