Brighton factually.....
I am not a political person and know very little, but one thing is pretty clear this is a complete shambles.
Is there precedent for the government to throw it's hands up and in the air, and say you have a go then.

I really do not know if Labour could do any better in this world wide economic climate.
Would the markets dive further ?
Could there not be a coalition of parties to get through this for the good of the country ?
Surely that would be a great idea ?
or would that just complicate shite.

Could Labour alone instil confidence in the markets and economy ?

Time for a general election. I don't think there has ever been more of an appetite for one (in my life at least).

It's NSC, so it's impossible to work out if that first line is a joke or not.

Some things in life are impossible.

Understanding how the PM could have trashed the economy and lost her authority so quickly.
Realising that Boris' replacement is even worse than Boris.
Coming to terms with the cost of the damage to pensions, mortgages and people's livelihoods.
Reasoning why Ben Garfield continues to try and engage random strangers in discussions about MMT.

All we can do is accept our fate and take each game as it comes.

On the surface, supportive of Truss. .... However. Take note of all those lines where he emphasises "your". He's making it very clear he's been shoved in front of the bus.

He has. She mentioned this monetary policy whilst bidding for the leadership, and Sunak warned her it would be disastrous.

If she gets binned off after a few days and Kwasi is reinstated will that constitute a Coffee break?

I'm surprised at the level of vitriol being directed at BenGarfield for his contributions to this thread, you may not like them or agree with them or feel they are derailing the thread but you could choose to ignore them or not respond instead of the responses that are now bordering on bullying him off the thread. In these days when mental health is big on everyone's agenda let's maybe take a step back and ease up on the fella eh? Personally I can't see the issue with his posts, In fact some of the pompous know it all responses to his posts and Opinions have riled me more! Moderators intimating bans on someone for posting opinions on economics/politics would be poor form for NSC I feel. Chill a little peeps
Agree completely.

It is f***ing dull though.
