Finally, we now know who are in the anti-growth coalition:

I think I'm about 10 of them.

Clearly a rip off of "down the line" (which morphed into "Bellamy's People") if anyone remembers that, but one of the funniest things on Twitter.

OBR reckons annual debt interest in 2023 will hit £110 billion, debt mountain has tripled in 12 years despite austerity and minimal growth. Some record...

How much of that is covid related debt?

I'd say the cost of Covid of responsible for about 15% of the current debt total pile. It will get less significant over time.

Next excuse will be we can no longer afford the NHS, its the dream of the Tory right

Sort it out Truss.

Your best option is to sack the Chancellor today and restore market confidence.

£5bn purchased from the £65bn allocated. suggests there's far less dsyfunction than the press would imply, the BoE is simply being ready if there is further problems.

A bit of a random question....

Why is it that historically when the markets nosedive it usually seems to be about this time of year (Oct/Nov)?
Or am I imagining that?

I dunno really, but on Oct 19th 1987 there was a sudden, severe stock market crash, leading to a global recession. Perhaps the markets were so spooked (whatever that reason) that they fear each October. Hopefully an NSC economist will put me straight with some facts though!!!

He seems untouchable at the moment. Secret meetings with Saudi Aramco, that slipped his mind to reveal, dinners with hedge fund owners just before shorting the pound and still in place?
