I've no idea what Cloudflow is but if it can't cope with perfectly legitimate, everyday characters then I don't see why NSC should have to make compromises to accommodate it.

It has apparently been installed by NSC - to quote the warning: "This website (i.e. NSC) is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks."

..........and is it such a terrible thing to remove a £ sign?

That one centre half we cash in on may well be Shane Duffy.......probably off in January for 10 - 15 million:down:???

Duffy is a complicated one to value.
His shortcomings are exposed in potterball, decreasing his value.
But his strengths went a long way towards keeping us up under hughton.
I hope the club reminds prospective buyers of the latter.
Most seasons end in a relegation scrap when Duffy is exactly the type of player you want. In that context, he’s A £30m player at least.
As for going for 10-15 in January.....surely not.

Oh, I thought it was some external app like Tapatalk used to access NSC.

And yes, I remember Europhiles wanting to detach the Nation from the £!
I really don't want to see thread titles such as 'Should we take 15m GBP for Duffers?'

At the end of the season Spurs are likely to lose their two starting centre-backs. Arsenal are weak in central defence, Man United need someone to play alongside Harry Maguire and Liverpool are wanting someone to play with VVD.
The bids will be way more than £20m for any of Dunk, Burn, White or Webster.
What a position to be in.
It's almost as if we could do with a poker player to handle the situation. Oh hang on!

Me too.

I think he’ll go next summer though as a replacement for Tarkowski who’ll be off to Everton to replace the very week Keane or someone similar in a top six team. I think we could get up to £30m for Duffy if Burnley rinse a top team for £50m+.

Burnley wouldn’t pay £30m for Neymar, let alone Duffy. They’d offer £2.5m initially, and then increase by £50k each time we rebuff them.

Tony Bloom, Dan Ashworth, Graham Potter.

That's a trio of expertise and talent that I predict will propel our club to heights that would have been laughed at (even by ourselves) a mere 20 years ago.

Agree with you about the undesirability of "15m GDP" instead of a good old £ sign. Pretty hypocritical if it's Europhiles wanting to bin it - can't see them wanting to give up their € symbol!
It's not just the £ sign though - it throws a wobbly if you spell Gyokeres properly (with the little dots over the 'o').

So Barber is out then?

Yup, a club being run intelligently.

So Barber is out then?.

From what I have gleaned from NSC, Barber is more involved with the commercial side, ie increasing/maintaining revenue streams and keeping fans onside (although these aims are not always mutually compatible!). I believe Ashworth is more involved with recruitment, development and disposal of players/coaching staff and maybe negotiating their contracts.

If Liverpool come knocking and offer £20M does anyone seriously think Ben White is going to say no he wants to stay at Brighton? He's not from anywhere near Sussex (from Poole)l for a start. I guess it depends on whether he wants to naturally develop playing more 1st team football than being a bench warmer at Liverpool. I would also suggest that if he did go the club would put a hefty add on should White become an England international and get sold on etc etc. Gut instinct says he will go if the offer is high enough.

I wasn't having a pop, just taking the opportunity to use one of NSC's favourite sarky comments.

I wouldnt put either Webster or Burn in that price category yet but think that White could readily step in for wither without weakening our team. I think that Webster could improve his actual defending and eventually we have a back 3 of Webster White and Dunk.

If we're looking ahead, then Haydon Roberts, Webster and White.

I agree Roberts and White look good for season 20/21 or 21/22 not too convinced about Webster.as I think that he is good with he ball at his feet going forward but not yet reached the standard defensively. I also think 2 of Burn Duffy and Balogun will be sold in the summer if not January.
