Surprised I haven't seen anyone mention San Cisco playing at The Haunt on the 6th October. Great band. Also going to see Foals in February at the Alexandra Palace.

If you like Fxxx Buttons then have a listen to Factory Floor. A more immediate sound but in the same vein.

What are you making of the FF record Corgi?

It's a little disappointing for me. Don't get me wrong, I like it but the stand outs remain the tracks I'd already heard, Fall Back & Two Different Ways. I'm also missing the old Throbbing Gristle influence which elevated them above the usual DFA stuff for me.

I'm also more than a little upset their tour isn't coming to Brighton. They've torn the roof off the 3 times I've seen them before.

To be honest I have not listened to it enough to form a proper opinion so will get back to you on that. It arrived on Monday in the post and only got as far as Fall Back in the short car drive to work. Dont see the point in One- track 3 being just a few seconds long. What I have heard though I have enjoyed and will give it a bit more time tonight.Never seen them live but would like to.

What?? My wife's birthday outing goes up the swanny...Still, solves the dilemma of the missing ticket.

I did not get a ticket for this as its Half Man Half Biscuit the day before and I am far too old for two nights of gigging in a row. Anyway I may now be able to go to both.

Get to the front grandad!

:) I was! Maybe I was a little too tipsy, the evening went a bit wrong. I was so half cut I took a quick photo (I know!). It was very quick though, promise.

We must have been stood virtually next to each other, I got a little too excited and ended up two sheets to the wind as well. I woke up fully clothed, with no idea how I got home, with a general sesne of forboding about what might have happened.

The Haxan Cloak was pretty special I thought. There were some proper "take cover" moments.

We would have nailed it! There's a Best of the Fest thing for the Comedy Festival going on that night, if I may suggest an alternative...

I know, I know - the uncertainty was actually slightly alluring. I don't get this "Best of the Fest". It's billed as "exactly what it says on the tin". Therefore, it must be a show of the best of the festival, but how? A film of the best bits of the festival, or a selection of snippets by various comedians who were adjudged to have been the best? Or perhaps just an assortment of short routines from various comedians who have performed at least once at this year's festival? I'm assuming the latter...
