I have a `friend` that used to use `Limewire` before it was closed down. I of-course was disgusted by this illegal behaviour, how some people can take advantage of those multi-millionaire artists that have had to sing their socks off, sometimes for over three minutes, sickens me. Does anybody know of any similar sites that music can be downloaded safely and for free, then I will check his computer to see if he is using any of them and of -course, report him to the relevant authorities immediately. Thanks.

I thought people stopped using Limewire about 8 years ago

Sure, but in return, have you created something we can all distribute for free - and maybe profit from? Photos, artwork maybe?

Seriously, I had no idea that people still used that kind of P2P software - I thought the rise of torrents killed them off years ago. Could it at least handle full albums rather than just single tracks?

I am sure you will be in for a Torrent of abuse for even suggesting such a thing.

p2p Is how torrents work too ;)

I know, but I mean that kind of software.

Wait, am I even thinking of the right program? Was it Limewire that let you search for files that others were hosting, meaning you'd be getting individual singles rather than full albums?

Or was that Kazaa? Both are a blast from the past

They both run the same kinda gnutella client I believe
