If United do want an experienced centre back I’d think they’d try to find a player with trophy winning or European experience in the final years of his career line Chelsea did with Thiago Silva. Dunk is experienced but maybe not in the ways United want so I can’t see much truth in this.

Do teams typically wait for a transfer window to close before trying to buy someone?

Also, I seem to remember Jim Ratcliffe saying that they would change their transfer policy to only bring in players under 25.
