I'm looking forward to seeing the moment he is conserving his energy for. It's been conserved for so long that it is surely going to be magnificent.

I think if, and by the time that moment does finally arrive, he will have forgotten how to run, it's been such a long time since he last felt the need to do it. :)

Talk about paranoia, the only thing he isn't saying is "is it because I am ....... "

He really is a waste of space for this club, move on man, move on.

Maupay missed one easy chance and one much more difficult one.....................the rest of his game wasn't awful. Works his nuts off (always does), held the ball up well, pressed effectively and harried their defenders and made some great runs. Unfortunately the judgement weighting is going to be almost 100% on whether he puts the ball in the net (at least from most fans) or not, poor guy's confidence is just shot atm

Fascinated to see if/how the club deal with the issues in the window.......anything other than Locadia out and new striker in and the grumbling will be immense

Strikers have always been judged on goals. You know that when you decide to play there as a young player.

You get the glory, you get paid more, you get flak when you miss. That's been the deal forever and a day.

The mental side is vital for a striker. You need rhino hide self confidence, to keep believing and keep getting in there. That self belief is what separates the good from the very good

Falmer, soon...
That was definitely Potter making a point to Ashworth & Bloom…

I doubt it very much.

More likely JL has been training well and deserved a chance to impress. Managing a squad of players who all feel they can contribute is hard and coming up to Christmas schedule, Our Graham knows that he'll need everyone ready and motivated to play. Having JL available and energised to play is good for the group and whilst he didn't pull up any trees, he will remain an option. It also doesn't hurt to put him in the shop window for a January loan.

I think this is more about supporting the player than making a petty point.

Andone needs to steer clear too given his form, fitness and behaviour whilst on loan.
It seems that the "no dick-heads" recruitment rule has failed miserably with most of those listed in your post.

Our fanbase is out of order and the downfall of our club
Pure bullying of our own player in this thread
He got a chance cus he earned one in training I would imagine.

Best is yet to come from locadia

He's more two footed then maupay in front of goal and will score for us this season again no doubt

Jesus wept, our fan base just continues to get more and more cretinous.

Scapegoats are not necessary with a squad this small, especially when they are all together and trying their best.

The only thing letting this club down is the fans nowadays

Let me guess.

You don't fit in, you never did and you never wanted to?

I understand your point, but have you seen Locardia's tweet? He 'never wanted to' fit in. How can you sign for a club, trouser £40K a week, with no intention of fitting in?

The only think I can think of in his defence is that he of course wanted to succeed and is crushed that he didn't, and by the time he came on yesterday he'd gone full Ravel Morrison, with nothing left in the tank after the match than petulance and the easy gratification of youtubing.

Bullying, not really.

He does not help himself, with posts like his stating "I don't fit, Never have, Never wanted to"
Now he knows very well fans are going to see that, and from my reading of his post on social media to be seen by the whole world is, he never wanted to come here, and does not care. Until he says something different that is how I read it, he is not endearing himself to the supporters is he.

Christ, if an MLS team sent him back and did not want him, what does that tell you about his attitude.

As far as being on the bench and pitch, I suspect the lack of alternatives has far more to do with that, than his ability, which at best is probably adequate.

100% - no way club management would resort to that kind of petty behaviour. It was either 'false 9', Maupay, Locadia or Connolly to start and the 'next best' fit striker on the bench - so not sure what that says about how 'well' Connolly is doing in training though.................unless he's injured ?

That he didn't make an impression in this cameo, having not played etc. is not all that surprising.. Look at Raphina. BUT, despite my and many others absolute dream that he will re-create that goal vs. Millwall, or the goals on his first few appearances (Coventry? Swansea?) he just looks so out of his depth its hard to believe he can do it for us again. I wanted so badly to believe that he is showing something in training that suggests he is on the verge of doing that but nothing that we can see as yet suggests that. Either he is just not good enough, he is so bereft of any confidence, he just isn't as interested... or a mix of all 3.
A heavy heart says he is done.. an over-excited young player coming on might have made more of an impact. The sad thing is that we lost our way a little when Maupay went off.

Locadia was plainly not match fit in his cameo against Leeds and looked a yard short. Given more game time I'm sure this would improve but unlikely to be with us

Potter didn't sign Locardia.

You seem to be missing the point here (read the thread and the posts by people who know what they're on about) and have turned into another dull Potter bully.

True.

But Potter decided Locadia was worth retaining whilst removing Andone, Zequiri & AJ from the club. Potter decided that Locadia had more value on the bench than Tolaj or Ferguson.

Whilst Potter didn't sign Locadia, he decided he is worth keeping and worth putting on the pitch. Why? Hopefully a journalist will be putting these very points to Potter. Will he admit he has made the wrong call with Locadia? I really hope so because if he persists in playing that unfit, lazy plonker, I can't see the boos dying down any time soon.

Again - you're asking the question wrong. We managed to offload Andone & AJ as we had clubs wanting to take them. No one wants to take Locadia. All 3 are in the same 'bucket', but we are stuck with one.

Oh, what was he up to?

(a) On his way home from the Dürer's Journeys:Travels of a Renaissance Artist exhibition at the National Gallery?
(b) Enduring an ice bath after a 15 mile conditioning run across the South Downs?
(c) Relaxing in the VIP section of Shooshh?

Potter also loaned him out. On Saturday he got a few minutes. I doubt we will see him again (especially after that tweet - sackable offense claiming he came to the club sith no intention of fitting in). I don't see any reason for Potter to apologise. It isn't as if he's spent the last few years trying to get a return on Ali Dia ???

Was just thinking, what JL has been like in training sessions.
If was shithouse there, then he wouldn't have been anywhere near the first team bench.
He must've showed GP something that warranted him a place on the bench???
