That is incorrect.

WYP want to be paid upfront which is fine and is the case at many other clubs, St Johns Ambulance received the money they were owed from a charitable Leeds fan (and I know that does not excuse Bates) and are prepared to attend ER under the same conditions as WYP.

I think what is very worrying is that Bates is now bullying the Football League. He is doing it by the blackmail of Leeds folding if the FL do not pass on the "golden share" and has wound that up even more by not paying the players wages. The players (bar 4 who were paid by KPMG) agreed to a deferral of their wages until the share issues with the FL is sorted. When it is the money is there waiting to pay them, they know this, Bates knows this, the PFA are aware of this. Currently Bates does not hold the registrations for the players and the PFA told him not to make any payments until his does. If the share is not granted then the whole situation alters.

They might not blink to Bates but the OldCo can still start in League One as long as Mystery Man is still prepared to fund this, the FL have already told us that.

As things stand right now and as LUFC07 - then no way. As OldCo, maybe.

Hang on, I'm completely lost now. The old Leeds which has the share are in admin. I suppose if some "Mystery Man" can fund that companies existance, then yes I suppose they could play in L1.

The FL will let the old company start the season in admin as long as they are satisfied that the funds are there to get the club through the season (or until the club is sold).

possible scenario: Leeds United FC ditch their current team (would they have to pay up outstanding wages), and employ the youth squad. Staying in administration, they get 10point deduction straight away but with minimal wage bill know they can fulfill fixtures for the year. So they comply with FL rules and Bates is left out in the cold. maybe simplstic and im missing something. But there's only 3 weeks to go and someone is going to have to resolve the issue, even if its the FL capitulating.

Because in theory there is nothing left at the OldCo for anyone to buy, the players etc have been 'sold' to Bates. But that deal has not been approved by the league. So, if the deal is not approved the players will still belong to OldCo and OldCo could potentially start league one depending on the funding and things.

Yes, well does anyone really imagine that uncle Ken hasn't just slipped the players their wages in a brown envelope and told them to keep it quiet until he can do it officially.

Been vaguely following this in The Guardian over the past weeks. It really is a god awful mess, which KPMG seem to have conspired (if that's the right word) to make worse, if that is possible. There are some VERY dodgy things going on here.
