If Brighton did cheat their way, did do things that were dishonourable, what would you do?

I don't think we could really answer that unless it actually happened tbo. I know that I never liked Leon Knight even when he was scoring for fun, because I saw him from the beginning as a nasty, fould mouthed little cheat. Doesn't mean I didn't cheer when he scored though.

We'd all like to think we'd hold the moral high ground, and reject the fruits of any sin, but I'm sure that's true of every clubs' fans.

I don,t doubt for a minute that I would continue to support them........and do the same as Jev,s (West Ham) and delude myself into thinking...."it,s ok....everybody does it". But it would be like your partner cheating on you. You could forgive, but it would never be quite the same pure passion that it was before.
As far as leeds united are concerned, all the time Mr. Bates is controlling your club, whatever they achieve will be forever tainted in the eyes of football supporters. Once you get rid of him, I believe Leeds can go forward with justifiable pride.

Absolutely. I always thought I could be moral over this but now I am not so sure. That said, we have not renewed our season tickets yet and will leave it until the very last possible minute or until there are some real assurances about the club/admin/Bates/FL.

Well, I would;t stop supporting them. But I\'d be uncomfortable and embarrassed about it, and anything we achieved would have a rather hollow ring to it. I can put up with us being shit, but I;d find it a lot harder dealnig with us being cheats.

I just wonder where that line is that would make someone turn their back and walk away. Or if anyone would. Everyone I have spoken to has said "Well, I wouldn't stop supporting them but...."

Supporting a football club is kind of like the support you give to a son or daughter. You want the best for them, you;re desperate to see them do well, you take great pride in their achievements, you invest your time, money and love in them, you come to their defence when they need you. So if they let you down badly in some way then the disappointment can be crushing - but you;d still never turn your back on them.

I completely agree with that, just very jaded by the whole situation I guess. I know we'll be back at Elland Road (providing we are actually allowed to play) next season but right now (and probably then as well) giving Bates any more of our money makes me sick to my stomach.

It is blind loyalty which people like Bates prey on. Stand up and be counted otherwise you will be taken advantage of. You dont have to walk away for good.

The fans will get what they deserve. If you all stand up to Bates you will get shot of him. If you all mope around moaning but renew your tickets he will continue to do what he is doing.

Smash Bates now!

Means we all have to traipse over to Monaco.

It is an absolute farce at Leeds. I've bought a ST for next season, bought train tickets for the home games up to late Oct and now I don't know where I am.

Bates is keeping very quiet at the moment which is very worrying from someone who usually likes to spout off against everyone.

You need to really ram home to the wider community what Bates is doing....and get their support.

He is not only f***ing over your football club but running rough-shod over many people including the tax payer, many small and locally based businesses and charities such as St Johns Ambulance.

If you really want to get you message across then travel enmasse to his apartment in Monaco. You will get amazing press coverage I can assure you.

Another problem now is that these people no longer want to deal with us. I don't think the police or St John's Ambulance want to deal with us, which makes it impossible to host a major event.
