I'll check with my cat that she is ok with that first,.... just to avoid any future complications with the A.L.F.I would refer to them as Animals to be safe.

Anyone who sees it as a racially motivated attack have no "evidence" for that assumption other than the difference in the skin colour between the attacked and the attacker - making such an assumption is by definition a racist one.
Simple question, what evidence is there to support the presumption that it was a racially motivated attack other than the above?
You tell me why they did it? what made them single her out?
What I find funny is the amount of white people who seem to want to be offended on black people's behalf when black are not offended themselves. I really do not get it.
Discussing this with my friends their first response was it was not racist, when I told them to turn the tables, at least half said I had a point.
The only fact is you don't know and neither do I. No one on here does. It could be racially motivated, it may not be. I am sure racism exists, I am not living in a fluffy cloud land some people seem to inhabit whereby it could not be racist in anyway. And racism exists both ways. Sadly.

Another stereotype presumption.
I believe you really do not get it!
Surely a racist attack has to be an attack motivated by the race of the parties involved? How it's construed by the media is neither here nor there.
All that the police have said (that I've seen) is that 'words were exchanged'. The original article suggested that they'd criticised her clothing. I'm struggling to see how that makes race the primary motivation.
What I am trying to get at is, why would a group start on a girl because they took an aversion to her dress?

If I am right and get what you are implying that it was because they maybe Muslim then that would not be racial it would surely be a religious related incident then as there are white and black Muslims.
Spot On.Whether or not the scumbags involved did say anything racial or not is not really the issue for me. These people(I use that in the loosest possible term) got on the bus and for no apparent reason picked on this woman. Now either they were fashion critics or they just wanted to pick on this woman, this could be because they were sexist, which I doubt. I still maintain they would not have reacted the same to a black girl. I think what is likely is that she answered them back and this offended their sense of being supreme in some way. Certainly the areas where I live I would say that the open racism is more prevalent from black people than it is white people, this is not because they are more racist than white people but because they can get away with it. The police cannot really do anything about it or they will be accused of racism.
It is just a mess, someone in this thread has described a white flight. I see it as more as a decent people's flight as most of the people I know are moving further out as London is not like it was and never will be.

spot on , again.iit cracks me up when you read people saying 'i just see a cowardly assault'. i am a middle aged man who regularly takes buses in lewisham and the amount of racist abuse against white people i encounter is astounding. just last night i was called a white c--- for the crime of getting on a bus at 8-30 in a bit of a scrum if you answer back you are seriously putting yourself in danger. its a power and dominance thing. the problem is - as witnessed on here - people are desperate to be even handed and show themselves as non racist - which is easy to do if you are not in the firing line.
theres so many dick heads on here its not true, telling people they are out of line and racist. its laughable if it wasnt so scary that they had the vote. generally these people would be in absolute pieces if they were on a south london nightbus, thats the irony.
I cant be bothered , I'll only get told I'm making it up by experts on Living in London Like yourself , who is currently in spain , or dave in prague, besides , eaglesdestroyseagulls is putting the case across well, he actually lives in south london , but of course , he's being put right by people who are in such hotbeds of racial disharmony as australia or sussex.6 pages and no insight from Bushy. What's going on?

So what if it was a Racist attack or a sexist attack? Any sort of attack is bad isn't it?
These attackers for all you know may of taken the same sort of beating from their parents and so on. Maybe we need to look more into the core of the problem rather than the prejudice behind the attack.
Have you ever thought the racism towards whites could be a backlash from all the racism black people have received over the years? Maybe racism wouldn't have started if the white people had treated the blacks as equals when we first came into contact?
I bet if we didn't have the BNP, NF and the EDL, black and white people would integrate better in london and racist attacks would be a thing of the past?
i will bear all that in mind next time someone is threatening to stab me and racially abusing me as they think i have pushed in a bus queue.
