Good news all round. Corbyn's gone (like, several years ago) and improvements are well on the way.

Any news on any Labour bigwigs getting fined by the Met or endorsed by Britain First?

Remind me to periodically bounce this to reinforce the positive steps made by the new leadership.

That’s before you even get to serving MPs and child sex convictions / rape charges / sexual harassment / watching porn in the House of Commons ….

I fear the spirit of Jezza lives on, whether folk on here or Starmer accept it or not.

Given that we know from today that far right movements have established themselves within the Conservative party, I’d much rather see that issue dealt with than an imaginary “reds under the bed” fear about the Labour Party.

It's against the Israeli state, who have proved to be bad neighbours over the years (not that their neighbours have been exactly welcoming either - plenty of blame on the arabs too). Some thickos think that is anti-semitism. They are too thick to know what anti-semitism is - but boy, is it good for their self-styled righteousness!

Give it a rest. Potty has bounced a long dead thread to 'whatabout' the labour party, and you have taken the bait.

Potty can far cough. And as others have noted, all he has done in his attempt to get us to engage is highlight that whereas Labour deal with issues (booting out the soppy old antisemite, Corbyn) the tories are still backing Boris - even after booting him out!

A joke of a party with a joke of a support. :lolol:

(and how pathetic is it trawling the NSC archives to bounce this thread. And to think that at one time I didn't have potty on ignore. What was I thinking )

Oh and calling the thread bouncer a **** does not constitute me engaging. Thanks.

Anti-Semitism exists on both the far right and the far left and has done so historically.

Both are fuelled by conspiracy theory and Labour (under Corbyn) were far too late to recognise it's modern influence on some of it's members irrespective of how morally correct their support of the Palestinians is.

Corbyn fuelled it with certain facebook likes and forwards written to books. Unwittingly ? Probably. In the big scheme of things not a huge problem within the party ? Probably.

But as a leader of a major Political party he should have known better. But Corbyn was never a leader, just a brilliant campaigner.

Maybe he should sit down and have an Organic Lager with Johnson....

They both hate the EU and probably will find other common ground.

There isn't much more to say.

A massive problem. Long since resolved by removing leadership positions from the dick heads. There will always be dick heads. Just don't let them take control.

Bouncing this thread was a snide little bit of work from potty. Typical, sadly. And an own goal. Also typical.

And given that the tories are all set to make yet another dick head their leader, it shows a profound lack of introspection.

Let's see if the dick head thumbses me up for calling him a dick head :lolol:

The thread’s been widened to sex offending.

So we can mention Labour rapists/paedophiles Lord Ahmed and Greville Jenner, convicted sex offender Mike Hill.

Turns out males of any political persuasion can be perverts.

Point of order. It's Janner.

And " Carl Beech, whose accusations had fuelled the Operation Midland police investigation, was convicted of falsely accusing Janner and others of sexual abuse and murder. Daniel Janner appeared in the witness box as Beech was being sentenced and said of his father, "He died an innocent man. He was a force for good and justice." Beech was jailed for 18 years."

Janner’s crimes didn’t stem from the fantasist Beech.

Like Cyril Smith and Jimmy Savile he was accused of multiple counts of buggery etc against kids over decades. But got away with it through corrupt or in awe policing.

Indeed - but my point was so many in such short succession under the same government - and that’s what is in the public, there’s at least 1 other case under investigation by police. Much like Labour under Corbyn had a problem with anti-semitism, the Tories also seemingly have a problem

Now, I'm not a sensitive soul but I thought that these ad hominem rants and more importantly, name calling (Potty) were stopped.

I got rebuked, and rightly so, for witty epithets regarding others, so I would respect similar, consistent behaviour.

I was merely quoting a daily news item which I felt suitable to post, and put it on a relevant thread.

Other left leaning posters found time to comment in a positive way, and rightly so, that Jezza times had moved on so why the need for a personal attack fuelled with vitriol I have no idea.

A fair enough point.

Absolutely no need for Bear Pit level name calling and squabbles to be continued on the BB.
harry Wilson’s tackle - might I suggest you just keep those on your ignore list actually on ignore and stop having sneaky peeks? And certainly knock the silly nicknames on the head.

Nevertheless, it’s not total ad-hominem to suggest that an old thread was pointlessly bounced as a snide attempt at whataboutery on a day when it was revealed that Britain First have taken over the Tory party

But what about Corbyn ? taken to completely new levels of buffoonery by Is it PotG? :lolol:

Bouncing a thread from 3 years ago ? He really is getting so desperate that I think even I am getting embarrassed for him

And before anyone starts about name calling/insults etc

buffoonery
/bəˈfuːnəri/

noun
behaviour that is ridiculous but amusing.
"the film is full of wordplay and buffoonery"

Case rests m'lud

Point taken, although I was replying to the replies. I have no idea what potg posted. Could have been an apology for all I know. By the look of the replies I doubt it, though.

Why is it a 'pointless bounce' when it's a new piece on BBC News?!

But it's OK to have a 1,348 page thread on 'Tory party meltdown' where those on the left (quite a few) are allowed to say what the hell they like!

And you then make a comment about Britain First having taken over the Tory party

What a joke!

Absolutely this.

As I said, consistency.

The Tory thread is a free for all, yet start a thread on Starmer and it's likely to end up in the Bear Pit by page 2.

Disappointing.

Why are you crying now? You made a complaint about a poster calling you names. The complaint was upheld by a mod that you and other right wingers frequently try and bait and accuse of being bias ... and you still moan that lefties get it all their own way.

As for the Tory meltdown thread. You too are allowed to say what you like on there. It’s just unfortunate that you largely squander that opportunity by either moaning that you aren’t allowed to say what you like or pathetically trolling people.

Dry your eyes, put your big boy pants on and have a sensible debate. Not your usual trolling and then whinging like a kid who’s dropped her ice-cream when someone pulls you up on your nonsense.

Stay cool.
