You - and I have to double check - YOU - are getting all sensitive over a GAY jibe? :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Blimey, you can joke about everything from rape to scat porn but no disrespectful remarks about Leon Knight's workrate!

I haven't got any evidence that he is not the man for the job, but then again, I didn't say that he is not.

But if you've not seen him play, how can you agree with the claim that he is the man for the job?

Yes we have - he's had a few outings.

That's not another gay jibe by the way

Jake stands out for the following reasons in this discussion:-

a) He is a local lad who has come through the youth scheme. Hence fans will be more supportive.

b) Jake runs around the pitch like to attempt to chase most lost causes.

c) I strongly suspect that many fans, of any club they support would love to have that type of player.

My favourite Robinson moment of the season was running 30 yards at full pelt to take Dan Harding out at Leeds.

Good lad.

But they were all scored at a different level yes?

Not saying Jake is the miracle striker that some think he is. But i think he is atleast on par with Leon.
Maybe in a goalscoring sense (although they've both shown they're not as clinical as we'd like), but not in all round contribution to the team.

It was his lack of all-round contribution on Tuesday that has led to him being now out of the side. But this is not a big deal, even our player of the season so far (IMHO) Seb Carole has been left out of a game this season and I can't remember this amount of fuss. It's part of football.

Well from what I've read on here it was for lack of workrate, not the same as all round contribution. Tuesday wasn't his best game but he was still our most creative player on the park.

I could not disagree more, he was virtually invisible. See McGhee's comments.

It's an insult to Carole who never stopped working, set up the goal and also to his mate, Frutos, who drove himself into the ground.

Workrate doesn't equate creativity. ???

Leon created one gilt edge chance for Hammond, how many did Frutos or Carole create? I'm pretty sure Carole was shooting for the goal, and it shoudl've never ended up in the net anyway....

Leon's work rate will probably always be questioned. In too many games in the past he could have got stuck in more.

And we shouldn't be needing Leon to create more, we need him to score more. We've been creating more chances than ever recently.

Bloody hell, are you Kinky in desguise, this is so one-eyed it's untrue. :lolol: Frutos and Carole were at the heart of EVERYTHING good we did on Tuesday. Frutos put over loads of crosses, scored, forced saves, Carole played a bit deeper but made huge numbers of yards in possession and his run past 3 defenders set up the goal. It really is ridiculous that you should look to run down the efforts of these two players just to make Knight look better :)

Leon created one gilt edge chance for Hammond,

You"re aving a laugh !
Hammond gave it to carole who then fed knight then knight passed it to hammond who had continued his run. Simple football end of!!
If anything hammond himself created this gilt edged chance ???

Its one thing to be unhappy and another to petulantly flick your arm back at the manager whos patting you on the back.

Good call Dan. I thought Leon was 'a prick' to do what he did. Yeah, McGoo laughed, but you KNEW he would'nt let that go. Lets face it, we love Leon, but he needs to get hes head together. He has improved immensely this last year, but the attitude.............................
