Increasingly it's just words with Knight, everyone's getting a bit fed up with his brand of bullsh*t, and if people are brave enough to question what he is actually saying it soon becomes clear that it's all a load of spin and he just cannot cut to the chase and give a straight answer.

That's what I have been saying for 18 months.

He used to be brilliant, but sadly I think he has lost touch with things. Losing Martin Perry to Falmer has taken the edge off Knight. He is abroad too often and does not have the full control that he once had, now Bloom is the largest shareholder.

However regardless of what some of us think, the same old people will churn out the words "saved us, brought us home, there wouldn't be a club, put all his money in, no one else wants to be chairman, blah blah blah,". All irrelevant, its what he is doing now that counts and whether he can still take us forward.

I completely respect Knight for what he did, but its almost for that reason that I think he should move up to the President role. He deserves to be that and walk out at Falmer, but increasingly he is not portraying the club in a good light. Sorry for all those that love him to death but thats the way more and more of us see it.

I'm sick and f***ing tired of having DK's carefully chosen PR shit rammed down my throat. As pointed out earlier in this thread, why does he have to put himself across as the high and mighty power who makes decisions all on his own? The board voted and DK had to deliver their wish. Now its I will be conducting a shortlist and I will be looking for a new manager. f*** sake Dick, you have no money and you have lost the respect of the fans, just step aside for fucks sake.
Have you not considered the possibility that the Board CHOOSE to manage the public relations side of the business in this way?

Or to put the same question in another way ... step aside for WHO?

I can apply logic later, at this moment in time I just need to rant!

If you take the words "just step aside" out of that post, it's a very good one.

A quick decision about a new boss? NO!!!! What we need is a RIGHT decision (and that would be a pleasant change these days).

Well obviously they do. Thats clear enough. Doesn't mean it is right though.

I've just listened to that Harty interview with Knight. For what it's worth I thought Ian did very well and went about as far as he could in questioning the almost unbelievable chain of events as outlined by the chairman.

It just didn't stack up at all. He claimed there was no intention at all of sacking Micky, yet had spoken to the board beforehand about the meeting. I cannot believe in those conversations that Adams' future was not raised.

Then there are the pre-prepared mantras to deflect awkward questions. 'Micky and I have always been open and honest with each other.' 'It became clear during the meeting that it was in the best interests of the football club if he went now.' Why? What was said? What precisely made them both draw that conclusion? What does any of this actually mean?

Increasingly it's just words with Knight, everyone's getting a bit fed up with his brand of bullsh*t, and if people are brave enough to question what he is actually saying it soon becomes clear that it's all a load of spin and he just cannot cut to the chase and give a straight answer.

I thought that Harty did well today to - my interpretation on is that Dick didn't want Micky to go but had been instructed by the board to do so - How can you say that it wasn't your intention to sack Micky and Micky himself says he won't resign and then after the meeting he loses his job - mind you nothing with Dick Knight makes sense anyway - if I was the Blooms i would be getting a bit fed up with paying people off because of Dick Knight

Really? Ray, Tony or another member of the Bloom family?

Last time I checked at Companies House DK was the major shareholder with approx 23%.

Not any more

This was the full shareholding at 31st August 2008, which is where you got the 23% from, however I am told the Blooms have got a much higher shareholding now.

Harry Richard Knight 1,602,500 23.02%
William John Brown 1,100,000 15.80%
Anthony Grant Bloom 850,000 12.21%
Pig City Incorporated Limited (Norman Cook) 750,000 10.77%
Kevin Griffiths 582,000 8.36%
Raymond Alexander Bloom 535,000 7.68%
Friday Ad Holdings Ltd 500,000 7.18%
Derek Leonard Chapman 460,750 6.62%
Michael John Hastilow 250,000 3.59%
Robert Leonard Pinnock 142,000 2.04%
J Gold 100,000 1.44%
John Edward Vickers 50,000 0.72%
Joseph David Hirschel 15,000 0.22%
Edward Norman David 10,000 0.14%
Peter McDonnell 10,000 0.14%
John Town 5,000 0.07%
Martin John Perry 130 0.00%

If you're correct then it could be the some of the loans made to the club have been "repaid" as shares; a £30M convertible loan note facility was created in early (Feb?) 2008.

From this listing it can be seen that D Knight still has the largest shareholding followed by Bill Brown. The Blooms only have the largest if they are combined and together. Which if you use the same argument and added DK and any other like KG they would have the largest.

It can also be seen that some of the larger shareholders are not members of the board I do not think. It is also rather interesting to note that Kevin Griffiths still holds 8.36% despite the on line betting fiasco that DK was allegedly involved with him in. One would assume that if it came to a shareholders vote rather than a board members vote there would be considerable support for DK.

Hessentaler will kick ass, knows the game at this level (player who aren't trying won't con him), confident with all the wins at Dover and top of the league, lives reasonably near and won't cost a fortune.

him or the other ex-hornet Boothroyd

I swear to God that DK cannot win when it comes to the Albion fans. The binfest to get rid of Adams as reached fever pitch in the last couple of weeks - as soon as Adams is gone there are things that 'don't add up...!!' - Unreal.

Adams is gone, doesn't matter to anybody outside the board how - it's nobody's f***ing business by the way - now get on with it and hope the new manager gets us out of this mess.
