I think peoples problem with Brown is that they dont know what he does, and when t the Fans Forum he said - he deals with the everyday running of the club, people still didnt understand what that meant.

He then went on to explain it was his job to see new iniciatives for getting fans to the club, as well as him sorting out this new ticketing system, and dealing with season tickets.

He also said it was his job to set season ticket and matchday ticket prices.

All the things he said that he does at the fans forum appear to have not materialised or shown any improvement, or been in favour of the fans, and it makes him look a bit foolish.

It makes him look worse when him and Knight dont sing from the same hymn sheet.

I asked Knight about the season ticket sales, he wouldnt give me a straight answer, that despite Brown having the figures with him (the figures were released the next morning)

Brown then went on to say that ALL season tickets would be posted by the Friday after the forum, which again turned out not to be true as the last of the tickets went out this week.

Generally run ins with the ridicoulously heavy handed stewarding. Before some clueless know-nothing goes oh well its Millwall blah blah blah, the point is its his way, not just horses for courses.

OK if I need to give proof for example one mother apparentlythreatened with banning for shouting at a steward who would not let her out the family enclosure even as her youngson was pissing himself, tales of fabricated accusations of assaults on stewards upheld and resulting in bans and police involvedment, I could go on but those who dont want to hear wont. If it had been any other club than Millwall he'd come from the scare stories might hold a little more water for the more twee element.

Until I hear a Millwall fan say "to be honest, we've got a long history of acting like total c.unts - can't believe we've got away with it for so long", I'll have a certain dubiousness about the angelic innocence of the victims of this terrible, cruel man.

However, it does sound like it should be pointed out to him that Brighton fans are NOT dealt with the same way that you deal with scummy Millwall fans. A few videos of events around 1994-1997 should explain any reasons why that's the case.

I will wait and see if Mr Brown sorts out this ticket fiasco before calling for his head.

I do suggest however that last night it would have been wiser for him at halftime to apologise to the supporters directly rather than appear on SCR and talk to Harty. If he had time for that he should have given the supporters in the ground his time not listeners who were not affected by the shambles. Instead he got a lacky to read out an apology.

Saturday will be a test. What will be said or printed in the programme I wonder?

I'd still like to know why the question on Ask the Club was removed or have we club censors at work ?

Ernest, the explanation is that you are a long standing but not very successful wind up merchant. Why would anybody bother to take anything you say seriously.

Have a read of the story about the little boy who cried wolf.

Perhaps a change of user name and image might help.

Alternatively get someone who has a semblance of street credibility to ask the question.

I don't think Saturday will be a test at all. 4,000 people will have season tickets already in their possession, away fans will be bringing their tickets from Bristol, and as the first league game is a lot more attractive than Barnet in the league cup I reckon most 'one-off' buyers will have bought their tickets in advance instead of leaving it until the last minute to check on weather/Crewe result/work commitments. As a result, I can't see there being that many people actually dependant on the ticket booths on Saturday, so the club will be able to cover up the problem by saying it's all running smoothly again.

As for the programme, usual standard apology written by some PR man without even speaking to Brown.

Although some of us may still have to collect season tickets!

Did not make myself clear. I agree with you that the Ticket arrangements will not be tested on Saturday. I was referring to what the club will say to supporters. If it is just a PR smokescreen then the club have not realised how serious is the breakdown in relationships with the supporters. As is said, it's not just the ticket fiasco, it's season tickets, the Park and Ride cock ups, lack of seat numbers.
I have never heard people around me in block G so angry as they were last night.

Mr Brown, please don't make me angry.

You wouldn't like me when I'm angry...

It is indeed. I did wonder if the players were picking up bad vibes from the crowd?

Not sure really. Anyone not involved in the fiasco would have been fairly oblivious to it unless news was passed on via word of mouth. From where I was in E Block, crowd sounded supportive and as vocal as can be expected given the situation (first round cup, L2 oppo, small crowd). Seems that the ref got most of the abuse anyway which may have covered up this anger.

And someone on the board is trying to censor the critics, 12 years ago they would have deleted posts criticising Bellotti.

Doubt you will get a response from a mod, but very good point raised. On the ticketing side of things it's a SHAMBLES.
