For players like him its all about creating a transient impression then moving on before you get found out. They are the sort of player that scores on their debut then fades as the novelty wears off. Its equally about other professionals whos nose they get up, and who will stop making those critical defence splitting passes to them.

The game is littered with players like this, and managers that think they can change them.

I was also thinking this, why on earth would he give up playing in Europe, to go to a team who'll be fighting relegation. If he did move back to England, then I think a team in Europe (Villa) may be after him.
