If he wasn't a pro footballer, I think he'd have killed someone by now.

Was thinking that when he was interviewed the other day, he actually came across like a decent bloke.

It also says something about Newcastle's squad that out of all their players sent out to be interviewed he was the one they chose

I think that prick Karl Henry is worse than him. The trouble with Barton now is that anything he does now is put under a microscope but i certainly think he is a better person than he was a few yrs back

I'm afraid he will still be playing football, because "He is a good lad", just remember that.
I fing hate it when they say that and they always seem to say it.

It makes them sound like they are speaking about a 9 or 10 year old, not someone in there 20's or 30's who are adults and should clearly know better.

He will still be playing football, once the club spends the supporters money on a rehabilitation programme for him.

was anything done about Hudlestone's deliberate stamp the other day?

The ref saw it and didn't think it was worth action, so the FA couldn't act.

If the ref saw Barton's thing and felt it was just handbags (I've not seen the incident, so have no idea how bad it was), he will escape punishment. If the ref didn't see it, then the FA can take action.

That sort of thing happens all the time without comment, this is just a pathetic witch hunt.

when was the last time your saw a player 'punch' another player? Elbows are different because there is always the argument of whether the player done it intentionaly.

Not a witch hunt, just deserves to be punished!

I think with Barton's reputation people try and wind him up and they know it works.
