Maybe we could coax Kerry Mayo out of retirement
"There's only one Kerry Mayo!"
...........but one LB just isn't enough!

Are you Ben's Grandad's 2nd Account ? I think he asked this question a few weeks ago. I think there's a press conference going on at the moment but I don't expect J Lloyd Samuel will be unveiled during it

Thats not what I have been saying which is that if Chicksen is not rated, which he obviously isnt by CH and CC replace him with some one of their choice. I am not saying just sign a left back and finish up with 4 or 5 but replace what we have.
Ashley Cole?I'd prefer Jlloyd myself. Kerry has recently been with Peacehaven 3rds whereas Jlloyd has racked up 27 appearances for Paykan in the last few years. I know who I'd rather we signed...

Just seen he's available... Could be a good option to solve our left back crisis...? Used to be brilliant and probably still got a season or 4 in him?
So how do you intend to get Chicksen off the wage bill?
Not exactly being linked with anywhere.
Release him on a free transfer, some div 2 club will come in for him. If we had to pay him off what would that be as he cant be on mega wages.
Not sure on how long his contract is, probably a year max.
Wouldn't releasing him cost exactly the same as paying him until the end of his contract? It wouldn't actually save anything in the long run...Release him on a free transfer, some div 2 club will come in for him. If we had to pay him off what would that be as he cant be on mega wages.

I seem to recall we had a problem at left back during Gus time and he registered his assistant Tanno who retired about 3 years previous and then played him because of his experience, and he never let us down using his head to overcome what his feet couldnt do.
Unless you meant a free transfer, which would probably work...unless Jlloyd is coming in, that wouldn't work so well.
He is out of contract in the summer, but again it is going to cost us money.
Surely giving him a free transfer would not cost us much money.
Do you mean just releasing him when you say free transfer?Surely giving him a free transfer would not cost us much money.
Oh, I agree, it's not exactly an easy option and is likely next to impossible, it would just be the cheaper option if it could pulled off. He's still got to find a club that would take him, even on a free, and then assume they would offer a deal that is acceptable to him. He isn't just going to move anywhere and take a huge pay-cut.
Surely giving him a free transfer would not cost us much money.
I expect he is still on four figures a week, so it is going to cost us money.
