Thats not what I have been saying which is that if Chicksen is not rated, which he obviously isnt by CH and CC replace him with some one of their choice. I am not saying just sign a left back and finish up with 4 or 5 but replace what we have.

I'd prefer Jlloyd myself. Kerry has recently been with Peacehaven 3rds whereas Jlloyd has racked up 27 appearances for Paykan in the last few years. I know who I'd rather we signed...

Release him on a free transfer, some div 2 club will come in for him. If we had to pay him off what would that be as he cant be on mega wages.
Not sure on how long his contract is, probably a year max.

He is out of contract in the summer, but again it is going to cost us money.

Wouldn't releasing him cost exactly the same as paying him until the end of his contract? It wouldn't actually save anything in the long run...

Unless you meant a free transfer (use of the word release has caused doubt) which would probably work...unless Jlloyd is coming in, that wouldn't work so well.

I seem to recall we had a problem at left back during Gus time and he registered his assistant Tanno who retired about 3 years previous and then played him because of his experience, and he never let us down using his head to overcome what his feet couldnt do.

Do you mean just releasing him when you say free transfer?

We'd still have to pay the remainder of his contract to do it unless an agreement can be made with him to take less, though why would he?

Oh, I agree, it's not exactly an easy option and is likely next to impossible, it would just be the cheaper option if it could pulled off.

How do you think it works? We call him in to the office and say " Adam we are letting you go, clear your locker" and he says "fair enough, I have a contract paying £3,000 a week for 6 months, but I'll walk away for nothing"

Assuming £1k a week it is less than £30k to get shot of him if we had to pay most of his wages at a new club eg Luton., wouldnt that be a good move?
