Enciso has only just turned 19. I have seen enough of him to know he is going to be massive. Lallana hit the nail on the head when he said he has to learn to make the right choice. That will surely come.

Yeah big fan. Same with Sarmiento really - choice wise. I hope he's studying e erything lallana does.

As much as his live wire performance was needed against Bournemouth - how much he could learn from lallana before he retires about the minimalistic angled one touch passing and directing of play that good number 10's can do. Especially when he gets to starting matches and needs to conserve some energy.

Hes an absolute master of footballing minimalism, Lallana, but boy how you miss it when he's not there directing traffic.

Difficult for a young lad who's all spunk and stopovers but he has all the tools to be excellent and a great teacher to learn from.

Where then does Groß fit in ? Back at RB ? Another player RdeZ seems to want to (correctly) include no matter what…..
Agree Gross will play. I think Lamptey did enough to keep the RB spot. So possibly Jeremy will miss out again v Palace, and come on after 70 minutes again. Difficult choices for RdZ, but a much better situation than when CH was in charge in the PL because basically the side picked itself given the resources available

I think you’re right, but I think he is the weakest of our younger players, and would benefit from a loan.
From what I've seen of Enciso at U23 level, he's way beyond that and, I suspect way beyond loans. I think he may be bought through a little slower than Mitoma and Ferguson, but I don't think he's leaving the first team squad.

Having said that, I thought Mitoma, Caicedo and Ferguson were all going to be bought through a little slower

On the thread title, he was looking good enough a year ago, shame about the injury, but now he has to get into a top 6 side as opposed to a side pushing top 10 a year ago. Go Jeremy

I don’t think he’s leaving either, but I think he should have been on loan.Still the club normally get everything else right, and I also thought CMS would be great….. 😐

From memory Caicedo, Mitoma and Ferguson immediately looked the part in their EPL debuts. Mitoma wasn’t the level now of course, but his dribbling and getting out of tightly marked spaces was insane.

Enciso appears to be too physically small and weak, at this stage. In an EPL of powerful CM’srs.

I think he’ll be a slower burner.

A great dribbler and good decision maker, he will get plenty of game time and opportunities during the rest of the season.

I had expected him to start in the absence of Caicedo, MacAllister & Lallana but RDZ went with 2 centre forwards against Bournemouth & Liverpool. That may work against the poor passing long ball sides but we may not get away with it against a top side

In the warmup the attackers do a set of strikes against one of our keepers, where they get 3 shots with balls from different angles. Undav missed or had saved most of his and I was thinking that what they should have done is asked me to put some kit on and be the keeper for his set of shots - he'd then score 6 in a row, and would be full of confidence instead of Steele saving each one and heading off to the dressing room thinking 'I hope I do better in the game' - not repeat it exactly what he did in the warmup on 15 mins...
I watched him do the drill at FGR as it was the first time I’d really seen him. His finishing was exceptional.

I have no idea how he gets in the start XI, but I wish he would.

Rush goalie, perhaps?
Play him in the 10 role and move Mc Allister back to partner Caicedo. I think is suits both of them better. A rotated midfield of Caicedo, Mac Allister and Gross will see us through the season

With big fixtures pile-ups in April and probably May now, he’s going to be getting a lot of minutes.

I’d start him against Grimsby. I think he is further ahead than Enciso & Buenanotte and could pay a vital role this season, especially if March or Mitoma needs rests.

It was WONDERFUL to see the three kids come on and play like they did…Everyone keeps commenting on how impressive our ‘current’ first eleven is, with the assumption that ‘when’ we lose Pervis, Alexis, Lallana, Mitoma, Caicedo (Colwill) that it’ll be back to BAU (survival) BUT…PVH, Fergie, Jeremy, Enciso & Buenanotte!!
