The future's bright...

He was a highlight yesterday (in real time and close-ish it didn't look like a dive, but accept it was) along with the other youngsters. RDZ was quick to single out Lallana, Groß and Dunk after Saints and having those guys to learn from will be great for the next generation.

You never know what you are going to get from Trossard but after 30 mins it looked like he was not going to do anything , so maybe start him but don't be afraid to substitute early.

I think Tross needs to either not start or at least not as our lone "striker" he is more effective from a wide position.
The trouble is though that Mitoma and March have nailed down those slots at the moment.

There might be something there. He has not exactly set the world alight yet.
Although not everyone can be Mitoma….who has pretty much set the world alight.

If true the club must really rate him.

I know he's looked good in flashes but he's not been able to build on them due to the stop start nature of his time with us so far. I thought he might be a player that got lost in the shuffle as other young players came in and stole his thunder while he was injured.

Good to see the club still rate him and hold him in such high esteem.

Edit' just seen his current contract runs out in 2026 so if we have given him a new 5 yer contract then RDZ must love what he has to offer.

He's my tip to take over from Lallana as first choice in the role just behind the striker. No expectations then

New 5-yeardeal, apparently.

His dad spilled the beans in a radio interview yesterday.

So noone went through the whole twitter thread? What Pervis thing?

Spooky post. And he's gone on to be an occasionally eye catching irregular starter at the Arse, to coincide with their blowing the league. Never look back, I say.

Good news about Sarmiento. Another quality player the likes of which we could have only dreamed of 5 years ago.

Sarmiento has looked very good indeed so this contract extension is good news. However, due to persistent annoying injuries, he is probably behind Enciso and Buonanotte at present. But, he is the sort of player who could get a run in the team if he has better luck with his fitness.

I’m really looking forward to seeing more of him. I can’t really see us signing anymore 1st team attacking players such as strikers, wingers or No.10s with this lot at RDZ’s disposal:

Connolly
Ferguson
Undav
Welbeck
Joao Pedro
Mitoma
Adingra
March
Enciso
Sarmiento
Buonanotte
Lallana
Groß
Milner

And then there are more youngsters like Moran and Peupion who will be fighting for first team football.
