You are right but did you see the chan 4 one with that cock who is Neil Morrisey.
Why cant they do a good documentary about beer with someone who is not a complete clown.

This man was the pioneer you may be seeking.

If you have a search around you may find some clips from his old tv series ?

The obnoxious git has now 'apologised' - but only to save his BBC earnings. Pathetic. :nono:

are you actually knocking someone for apologising? whats someone supposed to do then?

i cant believe the fuss thats being made. he spoke out of turn, he's apologiesd, end of. like Thatcher thing, she was offensive at work, her employer sacked her, its done with.

The Astral Planes, man...
Strange the Aussies aren't complaining that he also took the p1ss out of their PM, shows they have a better sense of perspective than the feeble minds who now occupy this country.

I am puzzled as to what he should apologise for, Brown has stated that he is blind in one eye, and would admit he is Scottish so if Clarkson considers he is an idiot he has every right so say so.

I think it was more that he used the information in a derogatory sense rather than simply stating them as facts.

Having said that I am a big fan of Clarkson as a writer but not necessarily as a "man of the people".

I really do not see the problem with this one. I guess, theoretcially speaking, he is being derogartory to those lacking sight in one eye.

The BBC should not sack him, or even suspend him. Ridiculous if they do. Will they refuse to screen shows featuring anyone (Connelly?) who has made a 'controversial' statement? It was directed at Brown. Let's hear from Brown before we hear from all these limp wristed apologists who probably didn't even hear it before they were alerted by the press coaxing the sheep to complain. What a bunch of cretins.

Where will this end? This story has got me thinking what TV that has aired in recent years would struggle to get on now.

Chris Morris's Brass Eye Paedophilia spoof of 2001 was groundbreaking comedy that you know would get thousands of complaints now and he'd probably never work in telly again. I can also think of a few Harry Enfield characters (Herman the German, George Whitebread et al) that if aired now would attract big criticism.

On that note, the BBC aren't above digging out someone who's now disgruntled, to attack the government.
The worthless cow who was so blithe and careless in the 'Baby P' death, having been fired, is now critical of the government and has been given air time on this morning's news prog! Apparently she has contemplated SUICIDE for losing her job - shame she's only illustrating and underlining how absolutely selfish a person she is, and giving more credence to her losing her job.
The only statement it makes to me, and question it raises, is that she got to that stature of responsibility in that job, but how was she allowed to?

Chris Morris' Brass Eye Special did get lots of criticism at the time. The easy-to-shock tabloids in particular whipped up a storm.

The Chris Morris thing got criticism but not on the scale it would get now.

I find Clarkson's books entertaining light reading. He has something to say and provokes some thought.
