The Argus on to this now.

“The Scotland youth international is the son of David Weir, who looks after Albion’s players out on loan.”

However Mr Owen, you’d do well to describe him as the former Scotch youth international as he realised he was too good for them a few years ago and has been turning out for the England U17s & U18s ever since.

Sorry big Davy Weir but you’re laddie’s been turned!

Hope we do the decent thing and loan him back free of charge for the rest of the season to help Wigan out.

Nice gesture but not so sure they need him:

“The England Under-18 international's only first-team appearance of the 2019-20 season came in a Carabao Cup tie against Stoke.” BBC

And we bought Bong off them.

He got released by Wigan at the end of his contact and then came here on a free transfer.

Terrific player to get on a free transfer

He wasn't "released" by Wigan - he was out of contract (he'd signed a short-term deal in February 2015) and they had offered him a new deal, but he chose to sign for Albion instead (the "(o)" in the Football League Retain List indicates that the club had made an offer of re-engagement):-

Was going by Wikipedia which has an archived link to the Wigan website for the summer of 2015 which states he was not offered new terms or failed to agree to new terms.

The quality of the youngsters we're getting in now is insane! Him (England u18) and Dendoncker (Belgium u19) are the kind of calibre of youngster we're looking at now. Probably Ashworth influence so will be interesting to see how else joins over the next few months.
I love these signings for the future.

We have to keep the conveyor belt going for future seasons. All very promising.

I’d say it’s the fact potter plays youth and mourinho famously destroys youth.

Spurs offered more per the reliable journalist.

New Player signed

I just saw on the club website that we have signed Wigan’s 18 year old Jensen Weir who appears to be an attacking mid.
Dan Ashworth in full effect...
Welcome Jensen.
