There's a lot of that quite useful thing - a lot of hindsight in play - on this thread and typical for other threads too - for the players that don't quite develop how we'd hoped.
- Should have sold him then, shouldn't have loaned him to them, should have kept him in the squad, should have given him more time - being the usual calls about players that we don't see on a day to day basis, whose development isn't in a straight line, and unsurprisingly doesn't always result in Premier League stardom. But good to know that it would have been fixed if only the club had done this or that or this.
Well said.

Yes, it may be hindsight, but it's right. We sold the player for considerably less than we were offered for him a year or so earlier. In this instance then, the only verdict has to be "Could have done better". Nobody - not even The Albion - gets everything right every time!

Well unless you're privy to the exact amounts being discussed and offered as opposed to a couple of press reports , the plans, at the time , for the player, and a whole bunch of other info then not sure how you can be so certain.
And of course the club make mistakes - recruitment and player development is hard - but this is a pretty minor thing to illustrate it with.

True. But this is a discussion forum, so it is inevitable. Would be pretty boring if everyone agreed all the time.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing etc… of course it is!

Yes, I do know that The Albion's favourite buzzword is 'undisclosed' but enough infrmation gets out for us to have a rough idea of the fees (though not of the small print, obviously). And Millwall went very public about their £2M offer!
'Could have done better' (in this particular case) is hardly the sort of wild and damning criticism of the club that needs to be defended to the death!

Of course. All part of the mix. And pointing out that its easy to get those calls right - in hindsight - is worth throwing in there - especially on this thread.

Perhaps the club thought he would develop into a first team player or push on even more, perhaps that £2m offer was B.S and so on.
Seems bleeding obvious now - in hindsight. And of course its not "wild and damning criticism" - ha ha. - but just suggesting - its not necessarily as clear cut as it might seem and you want to make out.

So did I, after that very successful loan at Millwall! Hindsight all round, eh!

I did question his loan move to Preston on here at the time.

In fairness the opposition player hits Molumby first. If an Albion player got punched on the field, I'd have no problem with him hitting the player back.
Molumby is walking to him like a coked up... Irish person. If you look at the footage frame by frame (ok I'm having a slow and impoverished Saturday), its more of a shove attempt from the Mallorca player. And then Molumby gets his chance to explode.

Three game ban is probably not going to be enough, VERY rare to see footballers hit each others with closed fists.

Newmarket.
It's about time the old handbags descended into some real fist action. It's so disappointing when they bump foreheads or chests together and nothing kicks off. It must be so frustrating for one or both of them to not be able to start swinging when the other one has taken the piss.
When I'm out cycling I occasionally get cut up by bellends who just have to get in front of me and of course i shout at them as they graze by.
Quite often they'll then reply with a wahanker sign out of the window when any respectable and conscientious person might hold their hand up and accept they could possibly have made a bad decision. I feel they're not understanding the error of their ways.
I'm getting to the point where the next nob who can't accept they're a bit of a liberty taking twat is going to get a punch on the nose. (Oooh I'm 'ard)
So if you see an article in the news where some bloke in Newmarket has kicked the shit out of an old age cyclist following an argument, that'll be me with the sad face pictured in A and E.

Agree, suspect it’ll be longer than that.
