A spare midfield of Gomez, Weiffer and O'Riley is very decent.
In addition to our current gems of Baleba, Hinshelwood and Ayari.

Incredible quality and potential whether on the pitch or in the financial accounts.
And Yalcouye to come in the summer. Amazing depth of young talent.

Most of last season he was injured and/or recovering from injury. After he was deemed "fully fit", so lets say February, he did get a few starts. I'd say his performance was "fine", and the same this season. He was a reliable utility midfielder but, given he was coming to the end of his contract, he was never going to get much game time.

He's a good player, but even for a team "not blessed in midfield" I'd say I've already seen more from Baleba, Ayari, Hinshelwood and Gomez, as well as Weiffer when he was fit so even had he not ben sold, there's no way he gets games against those players when we only play a two-man midfield.

Either way, he's a player I always liked and wish him nothing but the best and it's great to see him playing again. I just don't think he'd make a dent in our midfield
I would have been interested to see how he‘d have done if he’d been given as much time as Ayari early season

Taking nothing away from Ayari, he has been a revelation and I doubt many of us NSC “coaches” would have given him as many starts as he got early season. The coach knows best obviously but I would have been interested to see how Moder would have done with game time, that’s all. I’ll keep an eye on his Dutch performances. Early season Hinshelwood was injured, Weiffer was and is injured and Gomez wasn’t here so we were very limited early season in midfield

Wieffer won't either. I reckon we'll loan him next season
Absolutely no chance of that, in my opinion. You don't spend years identifying players and millions of pounds acquiring them to fit a fairly specific system and then loan them out after one injury-hit season.

Wolves aside, I thought Weiffer was starting to look good before his latest injnury and I think he'll get plenty more chances after a full pre-season.

Oh dear, seriously? They're such a crap team they're in the last 16 of the Champions League?! The evidence really supports your opinion there.

Yep, aside from being a crap team from a crap league… they have provided us with two 25 million pound + players (okay Minteh was kind of indirect) and Liverpool with what might well turn out to be a title winning coach… you’re bang on, absolutely SHITE.

Oh and the Dutch league has also given us Velts… but Manu et al yeah… they’re all absolutely SHITE.

Moder would never have got a game in our midfield, now we have so many options.

Wieffer won't either. I reckon we'll loan him next season

But i'm glad for Moder. Anyone saying Feyenoord are crap are just pig ignorant. They knocked AC Milan out of the Champions League this week!

So he's getting pelters from you three because he dared to say Feyenoord are shite? I've got news for you - you're all wrong, @BevBHA is right, they absolutely are shite.

It isn't 2023 anymore, and right now they have been gutted and are consequently 4th in a 3 team league and have been getting slaughtered at home despite the fact that it isn't entirely their fault as they have a heap of injuries. The reason they are in the last 16 is because every dog has his day and Feyenoord played exceptionally well by their standards over two legs. And of course Milan shot themselves in the foot when that moron was rightly sent off for simulation, gifting them a way back into the tie when Milan were well in control.

If I had more time I'd trawl this site for instances of you three crowing about Man Utd being utter dogshit, despite being FA Cup holders having beaten Man City in last year's final.

I'll save you the time. Man Utd are utter dogshit

Feyenoord beating Milan clearly wasn't a one off. They had to get some impressive results just to get a play off. They won at Benfica, drew at the Etihad and beat Bayern Munich 3 nil, then knocked out Milan over 2 legs (so a red card probably didn't decide it on its own)

Obviously Feyenoord are a good side.

Yes Man Utd are gash - yet they are cup holders, beating Man City in the final.

As for you cherry-picking results, that is easy. Let me do the same in the same competition this year:

Feyenoord 1-3 RB Salzburg (have you seen where they finished?)
LOSC 6-1 Feyenoord

And to repeat, they are 4th in a 3 team league and have lost all 4 matches against PSV & Ajax this season.

They're wank, but are capable of the occasional good result. So how come in your words, "Man Utd are utter dogshit" but "obviously Feyenoord are a good side"? You don't seem to know what you're talking about.

Man utd are shit because they are 15th in the league and more to the point, watching them for 10 minutes or more confirms to any reasonable observer, including their manager entire fan base, that they are shit.

Feyenoord are good. Because, they are in the champions league, they made it to the play offs, they won the play off and watching them for 10 mins or more confirms to any reasonable observer that they are good.

Indeed. PSV are an excellent side. I still think they'll overhaul Ajax domestically.
They've completely thrown the league away this year. it's Ajax's to lose now.

Absolutely. Anyone thinking we'd walk them are seriously mistaken.
Yeah, so would we be if we played in the Dutch league.
No we wouldn't. You think it's bad our players are taken now, it's even worse if you aren't PSV, Ajax or Feyenoord.

We may have one good year then we'd be right down there when we get even more raided than we do now. These clubs are massive.

Feyenoord are shit because they are 4th in a 3 team league and out of the domestic cup, haven't beaten their traditional rivals in 4 attempts this season, lost at home to Salzburg and watching the first 45 minutes of their game at the San Siro (as I did) they were hopelessly outclassed and were lucky to be only a goal down at half time.

No reasonable observer would conclude they are good on the evidence of their season so far. And you clearly didn't watch that first 45 minutes on Tuesday.
