...and now playing for a side beating Milan in the Champions League.

You'd imagine he's happy with the move right now.

He could seal a 3-2 win with an overhead kick in the dying seconds of the Champions League FINAL...

...and he STILL wouldn't be as happy as I AM now that I don't have to hear that ruddy song at Albion games.

Dutch commentators say how delighted the club were to get him for a fraction of the money they got for Weiffer
Good for them.

Wieffer has already got more Premier League goals than Moder did over four seasons with us despite the Dutchman having what feels like only 5mins playing time.

We’re happy with Wieffer, they’re happy with Moder, we’re happy Moder is happy, they’re happy with the money they got from selling Wieffer. Seems like everyone is happy to me!

I’m not. One of the only decent songs about a player we had.

Altogether now… ayay ya yor, ayay ya yor. Or whatever that crap is.

Jesus, does the Moder song counts as decent?

I’m sure we used to have better player songs, but maybe that’s rose tinted glasses and I’m blocking out songs like the no, no, no, no, …. Nogan song!

Yep, compared to some of the uninspiring dross sung these days.

Exactly.

Never got a decent run once he returned from that very long term injury. Never understood why, as we were not blessed in midfield for most of last season or early in this one. I rated him, our last two managers obviously didn’t

I watched it yesterday and he looked very ordinary to me. If my granny had balls and all that, but had that game not turned mid way through the second half on a sending off, they'd probably have gone out and things would have looked very much worse for him and Feyenoord.

He's not as good as Baleba or Hinshelwood or Ayari. He's then competing with a good few others for a start. If we are looking to become top 10 he is unlikely to be a starter for us. I can't imagine him starting for any other top half team.

It's a good move for all and as a club we don't seem to put too high a price on the head of our good servants.

Feyenoord are a crap team from a crap league (worse than championship imo) with bang average players (he definitely fits that). I’d expect us to beat them to be honest and would be disappointed if we didn’t. The fact their fans are raving about a player like him says it all. Wish him all the best and all, seems a nice chap, but no where near our standard

Oh dear, seriously? They're such a crap team they're in the last 16 of the Champions League?! The evidence really supports your opinion there.

Most of last season he was injured and/or recovering from injury. After he was deemed "fully fit", so lets say February, he did get a few starts. I'd say his performance was "fine", and the same this season. He was a reliable utility midfielder but, given he was coming to the end of his contract, he was never going to get much game time.

He's a good player, but even for a team "not blessed in midfield" I'd say I've already seen more from Baleba, Ayari, Hinshelwood and Gomez, as well as Weiffer when he was fit so even had he not ben sold, there's no way he gets games against those players when we only play a two-man midfield.

Either way, he's a player I always liked and wish him nothing but the best and it's great to see him playing again. I just don't think he'd make a dent in our midfield

Yep, aside from being a crap team from a crap league… they have provided us with two 25 million pound + players (okay Minteh was kind of indirect) and Liverpool with what might well turn out to be a title winning coach… you’re bang on, absolutely SHITE.

Oh and the Dutch league has also given us Velts… but Manu et al yeah… they’re all absolutely SHITE.

Moder would never have got a game in our midfield, now we have so many options.

Wieffer won't either. I reckon we'll loan him next season

But i'm glad for Moder. Anyone saying Feyenoord are crap are just pig ignorant. They knocked AC Milan out of the Champions League this week!

Wasn't it suggested when he arrived that Hurzeler liked a system where one of the CMs dropped back to be the central CB? Moder might have been the boy for that - though TBH I'm rather glad we haven't gone down that road; sounds dead dodgy to me!

Wouldn't be too surprised (or upset). O'Riley too IMHO. That might be just me, I know. Fair enough.

Yes, good move for Moder. I'm just not convinced we've upgraded in the summer. Maybe Gomez will be the boy.

A spare midfield of Gomez, Weiffer and O'Riley is very decent.
In addition to our current gems of Baleba, Hinshelwood and Ayari.

Incredible quality and potential whether on the pitch or in the financial accounts.
