Israel have opened gas mask areas to hand them out in what is seen as step closer to a war with Iran.

Last night the Iran PM, called Israel a tumor that needs to be wiped out.

How long till this kicks off and how long till the West step in and help take Iran out:nono:

this is the war i have been dreading, has the potential for WW3 i think

too much cod Sean!

Israel isn't the only functioning democracy in the middle east by accident, Islam and it's adherents are basically backward ***** who need f***ing shoe-ing from time to time until they decide to grow up and leave their dark aged mumbo jumbo back in the 7th century where it should have stayed.

Israel, that shining beacon of a democracy that targets schools with heavily armed fast jets, uses banned weapons, commits war crimes, has criminals in the highest government positions, steals land and generally breaks UN resolutions without punishment. That's not to mention carries out murder in other countries using faked passports in order to divert attention to a supposed friend ( i.e. US !!!! ). Yes, such a wonderful country.

Anything Israel do has the backing and support of America and that is a fact, even if it is clandestine through only money.

I hate to be a pedant but,on balance, it's the other way round. Do not underestimate the power of the pro Israel lobby on US politics.

Yeah, try to be more condescending yourself there. As for circumspect - I've lived in, worked in, and travelled through since 2003 the following countries - UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and that's where I've physically been 75% of my time since 2003. That count for shit? I've seen Islamic countries up close and personal - the backward and the supposedly progressive. Where have you been?

If you think Israel is some terrible apartheid state then fine, crack on, but at least they don't practice apartheid against 50% of their own population like the muslims do - go and have a look at how women are treated in each and every one of those countries. I'm actually typing this in the centre of Kabul where the word is those progressive adherents of the 'religion of peace' are looking for Brit/US targets to send some daft young **** in to blow himself up, to 'celebrate' Afghanistan's independence from the British in 1919.

And of course I don't see all muslims as 'loony suicidal terrorists ' you said that, not me, so stick your straw man argument where the sun doesn't rise.

You must be loving it over there, walking among the disdained and trying to blend in!
Clearly what is needed on our planet is a World governing body that makes sure all societies behave as we decide is correct, and lead by a single constitutional rule.
Hitler was rig..... oops!

Surely you must be right to curl your lip at them, & most of Africa, & Mohammed knows where else.
So, support Israel's right to start the war to end all f***ing wars then. It's inevitable anyway so let's get it on.

I am sure you have made good valid points about human rights violations, but how do you propose to counteract them without violating human rights?

From one Billy to another kin folk Billy... I don't and your so right.

If only all were as loved up as us...there would be no disharmony in this world of ours.

The Israelis and the Iranians can blow each other to kingdom come as far as I'm concerned, it would make life a lot more pleasant for the rest of us. Jewish hawks, Arab despots. f*** em all.

I remember Hillary Clinton saying she would "obliterate Iran if necessary", when running as a candidate to lead the Democrat charge.

Can you imagine our politicians coming out with something similar?

YES, if USA asked them. Bunch of f***ing lapdogs

Embarrassing.

An example being this assange thing. We have effectively pissed off the whole of South America for what?

Not helpful with regards the Falklands or anything else, and when did the USA actually help the UK. Actually the Falklands is a good example, Clinton refused to back the UK over Argentina just last year.

Maybe the CIA has some great intel on our glorious leaders, or they are just really weak.

I've come back home.
Nowt will happen until after the Nov US elections. Isreal will not do a pre-emtive strike on Iran without the green light from the US and Iran wont strike Israel directly as this would jepodise regime survival. The US wont give a green light prior to the elections as this will polarise the electorate (The Democrats can only win when the political middle ground is were the debate is due to the right from centre population)

If Obama wins again then any israel - Iran conflict can be buried in the next 4 years, if the Republicans win then they just play to their right wing lobby and support their key ally.

Not completely true. Assange is in breach of his bail conditions and therefore will be arrested for this. We just let bail jumpers run to another country. The US element has only been raised by Assange himself not the sweds, the UK, Ecuador (other than in response to Assange's statement) or the US.

But my concern is that the GOP are currently doing so badly that the Israeli's have written off their chances in Nov and are not willing to wait another 4 years so why not start it now or in the next couple of months. An attack that Obama condemns, which he well might, would play right into Romney's hands.

Thats a good possible. I just dont think any triggers have been met for Israel to attack without any provocation and Iran will bring it to the brink but no further. We have been here a zillion times before and Iran have probed and proded by proxy (Hezbollah etc...) but never put them at any real risk of being attacked.

Because there is no Iron Curtain down the middle of Europe any major conflict between the US and Russia will start in an unrelated conflict that these major powers take sides in. Probably in the Middle East as that's were many conflicts happen currently and where sides are so polarised. It will not start with US and Russian tanks lined up facing each other in Poland or Germany but one side, as an example, supporting Iran in a conflict with Israel while the other superpower supports the Israeli's.

Russia, wealthy ? I think you might be confusing the state with rich businessmen. The Russian armed forces have been subject cuts that make our cuts look like a tickle !
