Israel have opened gas mask areas to hand them out in what is seen as step closer to a war with Iran.

Last night the Iran PM, called Israel a tumor that needs to be wiped out.

How long till this kicks off and how long till the West step in and help take Iran out:nono:

this is the war i have been dreading, has the potential for WW3 i think

Sabre rattling. It certainly won't create WW3. If the West do attack Iran ( and that's a big if ) then I doubt too many other countries will come to their aid. Their main friend in the region is Syria and they're a tad busy at the moment.

Assuming it won't involve boots on the ground then western air power will deal with Iran pretty quickly.

That said I certainly wouldn't condone an attack in Iran unless Iran strike first.

As long as they don't go nuclear it shouldn't be too much of a problem. They aren't very popular

Brighton factually.....
Anything Israel do has the backing and support of America and that is a fact, even if it is clandestine through only money.

I thought there Allies where the likes of Russia and North korea

I believe Russia sells them arms but allies is probably a bit strong. As for North Korea, I really don't think they have the money or capability to help protect Iran.

Iran know that a pre-emptive strike on Israel with conventional or chemical weapons will see a nuclear retaliation.

...and Israel have a large arsenal of tactical battlefield nuclear weapons.... small enough to deal with limited formations of enemy, delivered by long range artillery.... so they wouldn't even need to use the big buggers.......

All the signs are pointing to an autumn strike on Iran, as both US presidential candidates will have to support (or at least not condemn) the strike or risk losing vast swathes of Israeli votes in the US election. As Syria is busy right now, all the cogs are moving into place.

Plenty of countries in the middle east hate Israel, for obvious reasons. As far as I know, Iran hasnt attacked anybody in recent history. USA has attacked plenty of countries in recent history. Im more scared of America than Iran.

Obama will never support Israel in a war against Iran, he is in the business of ending wars not starting them. Israel were hoping for a Republican President in November and when the primary season went so badly for the GOP Israel accepted they were going to have to do it alone and started to plan for that. You can see word of their plans began to surface big time in the early part of this year.
If Israel can wait until November it's all about the Presidential result, if the Republican's win it's a US/Israel attack, if Obama gets in again the Israeli's are on their own.
I hope there will not be any attack, the Iranian Leadership is the problem, the vast majority of the population does not support their extreme views or their weapon program but it will be the population who will take the brunt of any attack. The UN should closely monitor any nuclear program Iran may have but there is very little grounds for any military action right now.

Israel are plenty capable of looking after themselves. They've learnt the hardest way possible not to ever rely on international support.

He obviously meant people with Israeli heritable living in USA. I might be write in saying a large proportion of Jewish-Americans have at least some links to Israel and so any bashing of their 'homeland' by either candidate will lose that particular candidate millions of votes pretty quickly.

Declaring disinterest in Israel going to war would get my vote if I was placing mine.
A president or premier who stood against supporting war might actually get a landslide!

Americans are MENTAL. Would probably see it as weakness or something. But on the whole I agree.

I remember Hillary Clinton saying she would "obliterate Iran if necessary", when running as a candidate to lead the Democrat charge.

Can you imagine our politicians coming out with something similar?
