Isn't it about time Wilkins made up his mind?

How long should Wilkins have to make up his mind about staying or going?

the decision has probably been made, as has the sponsors etc, guess the club are waiting for the right moment to make the announcement.

I get the feeling that when the Wilkins announcement is made, it will include what he is going on to do - what ever that may be

WTF is your problem? He's been given time to make a HUGE decision in his life/career. This is the least the club can do for him considering the way he's been treated. Why are you so concerned about the timing of the decision?

Its not as if MA is waiting for a call from DK on Wendy's decision before he sets up a deal for a new coach, he's probably got someone in mind and has set things up already.

Well, evidently some people have a problem with a bloke taking 5 weeks to decide whether to take a job....

Would it be acceptable in any other field of work? Would it bollocks.

It probably would be if the office was closed for the summer and you had another two years to run on your current contract.

What would you do in his position? Walk out whilst you may have nothing lined up, but a mortgage to pay etc. or stay and accept a demotion?

BoF i honestly would stay, Accept the demotion as they can't drop your wages. Wilkins would always be welcomed as a coach here so after the two years he would still be safe at the Albion IMHO

Stay.

Mortgage can still be paid, it saves moving house, it saves uprooting family, and it's a much more secure job.

But what if (and he probably does) you feel hugely undermined. It is now public knowledge that they were having doubts at Christmas time, but was kept on as results picked up and he was busy making plans for next season. He did well and had improved greatly, probably was quite pleased with his handywork. It is quite possible that he has lost confidence in his employers.

He is in the box seat with regards to his current position, so I would not be in a rush to make a career shaping decision. He is still young in terms of management/coaching.

Steward, I don't think it will be about money. It would appear to be about betterment and personal goals. Would you settle for a smaller role if you had ambitions of being the top dog and that is not likely to happen at Brighton?

Swallow your pride and get on with making the best out of the situation.

Wilkins can learn a hell of a lot from Adams and if he moulds himself like Adams with a view to manage in the future it will go down very well with the board.

I was in a similar situation about 18 months ago but fought and did my stuff and am now higher than when i was sent sideways

Why dont you shut the fvck up and have some respect for a man who has
a) given his all for the Albion over the years and b) is on the verge of losing his (current) livlieihood??!!

A pathetic attempt to get yourself noticed - are you 12?!

My theory is Wilkins is off and Bob Booker is comng back. That's why his wife to be has just jacked in her job at Shit FM because they know he's going to be back in the green soon.

Maybe not about the money but i think he can better himself here! I had to take a smaller role BUT as i was seen to do this without whining or whinging i was promoted above where i originally was moved from within 18 months
