What a complete joke, he should have been DQ'd. He broke the rules, end of story.
Well there we are.
Any golfer who knows anything about the rules, tradition and honour of the game that knows that they have broken a rule, whether deliberately or not, would have withdrawn.
Cheat is a harsh word, but now Mr Woods is one on the course as well as off in my eyes.
A very sad day for golf.
The guy could of won a few more supporters if he done the right thing today.
Yup. He could have got some credibility back into his world today. But clearly he is not bothered. I wonder who advises him, if he listens to anyone at all. Shameful really. I wonder what Jack and Tom think?

They showed Padraig Harrington slightly moving the ball when marking it on the green, for which he was disqualified. As he had no way of knowing he'd done it, this new rule was brought in. They've used this rule to save Tiger, and it's a complete joke, because it was reasonable to expect the best player in the world to know the rules.Well there we are.

But according to SS1, some people have waited years to see the Masters, and they want to see Tiger play, so that makes it different. Unbelievable.
Victim of his own success, I hope he wins.
The rules committee gave him the penalty and said why he wasn't disqualified.
The end
Anyone remember Dustin Johnson a couple of years ago? They applied the rules rigorously on that occassion, why not now?
He's the American isn't he? It wasn't him. It was some sky sports chap who was asking Monty questions. It's not that he thought it was great, but he was trying to justify the decisionCan I dare to guess that this was said by Ewan Murray?
No, it was brought in for situations like what happened to Harrington, which was completely different. A professional (like Harrington) is expected to know the rules, but they have no way of knowing if the ball has rocked a few mm on the green. Woods on the other hand, knew very well he'd moved his ball 2 yards, he's the one who pointed it out. He simply forgot the bloody rules, and that is not what rule 33.7 was brought in for.The new 33.7 rule was brought in for situations like this after what happened to Harrington.
There was, Tiger explained the advantage, and went on to stick the ball a few feet from the flag.there was no real advantage gained.
It's not about how good he is, it's about him following the same rules that everyone else has to follow.I don't understand why people WANT to see the greatest ever golfer not try and win the masters!

It's a fair decision and he should not disqualify himself.
Anyway if he didn't hit the flag stick so the ball didn't go into the pond at a strange angle it would never have happened, there was no real advantage gained. I don't understand why people WANT to see the greatest ever golfer not try and win the masters!
He should be -7 and leading
