Lord Bracknell
On fire
When the very overcrowded train (from Eastbourne) that I was travelling on yesterday arrived in Lewes at 1.30 or thereabouts, the driver (very sensibly) suggested that passengers who wanted a more comfortable arrival at Falmer might wish to get out at Lewes and catch the alternative train that was parked up (empty) at Lewes, waiting to leave about 10 minutes later.if you're getting on at Eastbourne OR Seaford why would you want to get off at Lewes ?
There was no room on the train from Eastbourne for anyone to get on it at Lewes - but I guess that was mainly because the opposition was Eastbourne Borough.
