Is making a banner/placard in support of Evra for the Liverpool FA cup game wise?

By and large I would always side with BHA fans whatever the circumstances, however the atitudes of some BHA fans on this board after the Palace game indicate that the bedwetters cant wait to report fellow fans to the Police and Stewards for behaviour they disagree with.

So, in the sprit of this prevailing attitude I think you should go for it.......................make the banner big and bold....................f*** what people on here say, your a big boy now (on the internet).

Quite how you would react to the locals scallys is up for grabs.......................you would definitely deserve whatever surprise they would have in store for you because you are a grade A 24 carat prick.

But then it would probably be an innocent BHA fan who would get sparked because you want to make a point whilch is all wrapped up in your own piss and self importance.................you are lower than a dog..............you should be put down.

Good post and can I add that he holds his protest outside the kop and not hide amongst us who are there for the Fa cup.

I shall rip it up if he's next to me and will point him out if there are repercussions against any albion fans.

after the disgusting scenes at anfield last weekend, i feel obliged to make a point. but is this too late/ineffectual/inappropriate?

A really well thought out post. If you have to do something at Anfield how about meeting me in the Albert before the game for a drink and talking football instead of this crap?
Or would you prefer going to Kirby?

Slightly off topic - when we go to Anfield, I hope we go there and support our team, our club, and
not resort to songs about ' Liverpool Slums,' 'small town in Southport', we've got Gustavo - you've got our stereo' etc...

Sure, and to show their appreciation the Liverpool fans will make no homophobic references, of course they will.

I hope this is a wind up? Why on earth would you want to massively antagonise the home support like that? Worse they may think its some sort of representation of all our support. What a ridiculous idea. Wtf has it got to do with you or us?

Correct. What a stupid idea. This whole issue has nothing to do with our club. Last thing the club needs is 30k + scousers on the players and supporters backs for 90mins. The game is hard enough.
We have our own internal issues to sort out at the End of march.

Maybe they will. Who gives a flying f**k - I'm going there to support my team, my club, not to become involved in some pathetic sterotyping and name calling.

good luck with that, anyway 'Liverpool Slums' is the only time it DOES work, as it's a play on a song called 'In my Liverpool Home' I don't like the song but it's worse when they start singing "in your Reading slums...." (or whatever)

The other's are old hat and boring I agree, I'd be happy sticking to a simple "Murderers, Murderers" :jester:

Possibly one of THE worst pre-game ideas ever to appear on this board.

I liked the banner last weekend

'MUFC – Defending titles, LFC – Defending racism'.

Disgusting scenes?
The fans simply don't believe his story, especially when he changed it 3 times, so they boo him. There was only one racist in the crowd and it looks like they've charged him. Unless you're a United fan I can't see the point of antagonising the opposition fans, unless you simply want to get on the tv.

I wouldn't waste any effort showing mischievous support over t**t Evra who is not exactly a role model (nor is Suarez for that matter) but the main thing here is it isn't our business and we should resist any temptation to add to the existing hype, let alone give encouragement to any racists. Liverpool have some issues to sort out around their club and fans - let them get on with it, especially as they seem to have chosen a very light touch to dealing with the matter themselves.

We take pride that we are a 'community' club and wouldnt want to see that undone by some thoughtless gestures, however strongly your personal feelings might be. Can only see negative repercussions for B&HA.

My fear is that the media will be setting traps to lure Gus into some inappropriate comment regarding Suarez/Evra. I really hope Gus sticks to pure footie matters. Take the moral high ground, don't get suckered into their mess and let our footie do the talking please.

Well, if you are that upset about the whole Suarez/Evra affair and consider Liverpool's support (club and fan wise) for Suarez is wrong and therefore a protest is "fair and valid".............why not mock up a banner of Poyet as Hitler.

That would be more relevant to BHA...........then your fellow BHA fans can dish out the punishment you (and the OP) deserve. I can't wait..............no really.

excellent post. god bless web 2.0. except, i can't QUITE remember the point at which poyet abused evra.

not the sharpest hat in the klan changing room, are we?

Let him display it, I should think the local police will be on him within seconds.

at the risk of getting into legalese, on what charge?

So have you got the guts to wave your little banner outside the kop entrance or not? You dont seem to be responding to the vast majority of posts that think your idea is utterly stupid?
