Is making a banner/placard in support of Evra for the Liverpool FA cup game wise?

though it's a shame you get spineless morons saying 'it's not our battle'. donaster rovers, fans united, etc.? amazing how short-term some peoples' memory is, and how inconsistent they're prepared to be.

Sorry but with that statement you've proved yourself to be really really stupid. I'm sure the situation in your mind is a matter of standing up for oppressed black people all over the world, hence your comparison to the civil rights movement.

Your need to validate yourself as a person who stands up for the oppressed and the little man, born of some middle class guilt trip, but it's blinding you to the reality - two millionaire footballers had an argument on the football pitch and both said some nasty stuff to each other. Evra can stick up for himself, by how patronising to believe that he needs YOUR help in the matter.

Astonishingly, this is only the 2nd most patronising thing you've posted on NSC:

Is this all a long winded ploy to get Brighton into the good books of Alex Ferguson, so that he will give us Owen or send us some cracking youngster (perhaps Pogba) on loan?

I'm a misinformed generalising knobhead?

Erm... Suarez was found guilty of racism their players then proceeded to wear shirts in support of Suarez and Liverpool didn't even appeal his ban. Liverpool fans then racially abuse Oldham's Tom Adeyemi and more recently Patrice Evra.

They deserve everything they get

No he wasn't. I suggest you read the FA report

their players then proceeded to wear shirts in support of Suarez and Liverpool didn't even appeal his ban.

Can't see anything wrong with this myself.

Liverpool fans then racially abuse Oldham's Tom Adeyemi

ONE fan is alleged to have racially abused him although no conviction as such. There are indications from lots of witnesses who were nearby that the fan shouted Manc Bastard and was misheard. Neither of us knows the facts so no, this is not proven at all.

and more recently Patrice Evra.

Are you talking about the fans booing him? They were booing him because it was proved in the FA report that he lied several times. They even chanted about him being a liar. Or are you talking about the dickhead that did the monkey gestures? One dickhead, who has been arrested and will (hopefully) be banned for life. Rightfully.

They deserve everything they get

No. No they don't. Not from misinformed idiots like you.

i know, i know. but football has a far broader support now. it's just when i'm confronted with shaven-headed, two earing-wearing types, who laugh like hyenas after stomping on balloons, i don't know where to look.

Breathtaking, like a 19th Century African explorer/anthropologist talking about the damnable fuzzy wuzzies

You clearly are as stupiud as the OP and not just because you are a Manc Wank. He was not found guilty of racism and as has already been suggested-try and read the FA report.

Liverpool fans abused Adeyemi? It was ONE you half wit. ONE. And they are still not sure what he said.

As for abusing Evra-are you telling me that Albion wouldn't continually boo a player who got our best player banned for 8 games? The vitriol would make the abuse we give Scott McGleish look like Sunday School banter. If you think we'd let it go you really are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Evra should have sorted his differences out with Suarez or just give him some banter back. He deserved the booing IMO, no need to bring so many people into it when two men could have sorted there own differences out, i hate girls that cry over spilt milk all the time, it's just pathetic.

I've lived in Liverpool since 1988. This is such a ridiculous idea and is so wide of the mark. I will be in the away end as I was born in Brighton and have been to more BHA away games in the North West than I can remember. I live in L8 which is predominantly a black area and everyone is fuming at Evra. Liverpool fans are not racist and if I see any ill advised banner to the contrary I will personally pull it down and chuck it on the pitch. Liverpool and Brighton fans have a history of mutual respect, let's celebrate that and focus on the football.

maybe if we'd played Liverpool 2-3 months ago, but the matter has been investigated, the punishment metred out and the sentence served.

Move on, or if not why don't we make some banners about the abuse John Barnes got as a player? :nono:

Awful idea. You know nothing about what went on so stay out of it. Why would you support that cheating Man U scum anyway?
Just because someone may have said a naughty word, it doesn't mean everyone has to jump to conclusions and call the lynch mob.
Go and support the Albion.

Also, can anyone confirm why calling someone a racist name is so much worse than other forms of abuse?

I don't think £90,000 a week French loon Potty Patrice needs your help TBH. Suspect you will be ostracised by Albion fans and have a far more hostile response from the 'dippers.

Patrice Evra is a wanker. He may have been the victim of racist abuse, but he is still an absolute tosser. I don't "support" him at all.

Also, I have to make my way to Liverpool Lime Street Station in the early evening, would rather not do it having upset half the city.

Oh and it is also by-proxy also taking a stand against Poyet, which I'd rather not do.

Does this mean were not dressing up in KKK outfits?

That's a shame, I was going to pretend I was from Leeds.

If you actually do this, which you obviously won't, I will personally come up to you in the ground and take it off your hands. And I imagine others will help me.
