Perhaps I am about to be shot down but we should be calling it SBTS and not GOSBTS (which words only feature in the chorus)

no .

But if there was a poll on how many fans actually know the words to gosbts then it would look rather strange to the outsider having a club anthem to which only a small number of people know the words to .

Fair enough !

But perhaps if the words appeared on the big screens our fans would soon get to know them.

Awesome !

I wonder how many Everton fans know all the words to Johnny Todd. Or Newcastle fans know all the words to Blaydon Races

What ditch the national anthem of sussex, the song that men fought and died to for some naf pop song like er glad all over. Where do these people come from? Of course not. Now play it properly, and turn off the sound system after its played and let the fans sing

I hate the 'thread closed' reply, but if ever one deserved it ,it is this thread.
Yeah, I don't like it either, but Jeez. As as been pointed out some twat raises this every couple of months and thankfully the result is always the same. Even if we DID decide to drop it there would be an almighty binfest as to what should replace it. That Twatboy Slim disco dirge 'Right here right now' is often suggested but it has no connection with us, it's insipidly boring and I think other teams use it.

And again, as has been pointed out GOSBTS is not just a 'song', there's years of tradition and tons of emotion entwined in it. Anybody who suggests it needs dropping or even changing from the brass band arrangement isn't a true Brighton fan, or at the very best doesn't really 'get' this club.

I despair everytime someone mentions right here right now. Not only is it a commercial, cheesy pile of garbage, I've heard it at about 5 other grounds. The type of grounds that play music when their team scores.

There will never ever be any excuse to change our song. An effort to teach everyone the words would be tremendous.

Not only that, it would make me think I was in queue position 40 on the ticket line.
