Injury to Kuipers....

The only two goals he has conceded in the last three games were in the last minute. And from what I've seen of him, I think he's great at coming out for crosses and his distribution is better than Kuipers'.

The thing is, if he didn't f*** up at all (his throw leading to Virgo's sending off, his f*** up at Charlton etc) then he wouldn't be a league one keeper. But I genuinely think some of those f*** ups can be ironed out.

Still has made a lot of mistakes that have led to goals though - not sure how many games he has started but three of his mistakes have cost us goals (including Wycombe). Whilst the Leeds one (where he was only partly to blame) actually affected the result of the game, the other two didn't in the end. However, if all three mistakes had cost us points, we would all think rather differently of his capabilities.

A new keeper in the summer with Kuipers getting another year would do for me.

give him a contract until Falmer as back-up to a new No 1. Let him get his coaching badges as well and start coaching the keepers coming through

Sounds good to me

John Keeley and Dean Wilkins didn't do a bad job and Oatway seems to be doing ok

Being a top Coach is not just about being a decent player-in fact often it's not even that- but also about having the personality for the job. Being able to motivate and inspire people, get them to do what you want them to do, earning their respect.

Can't help wondering if Kuipers is a little too, how can I put this, self absorbed, to be a first class coach. Maybe that's not quite the word I'm looking for TBH, but there is something that would make me strongly query giving him another of our jobs for the boys.

I hope this latest training ground injury doesn't herald a spate of crocked Albion players. Do the Beeb film all the Casualty disasters up there during the summer break? ???

I agree - I felt much less anxious at both Charlton and against Exeter with Brez in goal. I actually believed that he would deal with any trouble and not a constant 'will he, won't he' when the ball comes into our area. For the goal at Charlton and the chance Exeter had (second half, Brez came out to his left to try and block) he at least came out to try to clear - and the defence saw that straight away.

This is the same Brez that stood rooted to his goal line at all times against Leeds, and cocked up royally in the last minute with a flap against Charlton?

Im not Kuipers love in merchant by any means, but it always amazes me how two people (i.e any two people) can watch the same game and come away with a totally different opinion.

I like the way Kuipers being injured is reason enough to slag him off all over again. He's a great goalkeeper and has served the club fantastically. Give him a break.

ALL keepers make mistakes.

And all keepers come to the end of their careers too, when they're not quite up to the standards of their past.

Agreed, some people seem to take too much pleasure in slagging off our players rather than getting behind them and supporting them

I think Brez has looked pretty good so far. Not sure what people are expecting us to sign in gola, but just as a reminder we are a THIRD DIVISION team, and by those standards I think Brez is pretty damn good.
