Can't fault his work rate and effort, shame it didn't work out for various reasons but who will ever forget that cross at Forest that lead to Ulloa's header. Hope he finds another club in the summer.

Our worst nightmare would have been to see Brighton tearing up the Championship with the Murray/CMS combo. Rivalry aside, he's a very likeable, talented and hard-working player and it's a great shame that things never quite worked out for him at Albion.

Let's hope he finds a set-up which plays to his strengths and a manager who believes in him 100%.

Wish him well. His performance today was typical - tried so hard and achieved so little. It will get better for him somewhere I am sure

Very much so.

How many others in todays team would you write 'tried so hard' next too?

A return to Posh seems the obvious choice.

There's a lot said we never played him in the right position. Personally I just think he was never that good, gave 100% every time

All the best Craig and thanks for the memories, they were some good ones

I'm so gutted it didn't work out for him - if only every player had the same level of commitment.

People forget he had some very good games for us before his injury. He doesn't look the same player now but it will be interesting to see if he gets picked up by a Champ team.

It will be sad when he's gone. His bed empty, his favourite toy behind the sofa, his water bowl discarded and most of all his trusty old lead hanging on the hook by the back door.

It was the humane thing to do though.

Ok, I'll bite, 4 year contract, very good games (even before his injury)?

Superb goal Burnley away and arguably a good game, maybe Leeds home in the first year.......

I think we may differ as to our definition of good games, but fire away........

He started the 2012/13 season in decent form and had 6 league goals in his first 6 league games that season. He scored 5 more before his injury ended that season early and kept him out for most of the 13/14 season. His actual stats for the 12/13 season was 24 starts (5 sub appearances) and 11 goals which read pretty decent and average out at 17/18 goals a season, although when he got injured in March he hadn't scored in his last 9 appearances. He has never looked like getting that kind of form back since his injury.

Yes his first few games, he played well, that was on the back of a prolific season, then he missed chance after chance, who could forget one on one in the last minute against Burnley when we had 9 men. Then as you say he started 12/13, playing ok, and 6 goals initially is a good return, but he missed a sitter at Hull on the opening day that would have made a difference (though a season cannot be based on one miss).

It is a shame he got injured and perhaps he would have played well off Ulloa, but it is more likely given his performances to the Ulloa signing he would have been coming off the bench.

Sorry, but whilst I admit I was excited by the CMS signing, and whether we did or didn't play to his is strengths or not, for him and us it is a wasted 4 years, with a poor return. For £3million (as it turned out) at that time, we should have got a 20+ goal season striker. Still, financially, I'm sure he has done very well for himself and his family and really at the end of the day, that should be his primary concern.
