Wish him well. His performance today was typical - tried so hard and achieved so little. It will get better for him somewhere I am sureOur worst nightmare would have been to see Brighton tearing up the Championship with the Murray/CMS combo. Rivalry aside, he's a very likeable, talented and hard-working player and it's a great shame that things never quite worked out for him at Albion.
Let's hope he finds a set-up which plays to his strengths and a manager who believes in him 100%.
Very much so.Wish him well. His performance today was typical - tried so hard and achieved so little. It will get better for him somewhere I am sure
People forget he had some very good games for us before his injury. He doesn't look the same player now but it will be interesting to see if he gets picked up by a Champ team.
You know those forwards Like Forster, Binney, Poskett, who could never stop scoring, however old they got er sorry I mean, you know that song ' a pub with no beer'?
There will never be a player as great as Fred Binney.
Ok, I'll bite, 4 year contract, very good games (even before his injury)?
Superb goal Burnley away and arguably a good game, maybe Leeds home in the first year.......
I think we may differ as to our definition of good games, but fire away........
He started the 2012/13 season in decent form and had 6 league goals in his first 6 league games that season. He scored 5 more before his injury ended that season early and kept him out for most of the 13/14 season. His actual stats for the 12/13 season was 24 starts (5 sub appearances) and 11 goals which read pretty decent and average out at 17/18 goals a season, although when he got injured in March he hadn't scored in his last 9 appearances. He has never looked like getting that kind of form back since his injury.
There will never be a player as great as Fred Binney.
