We need to have a Fans United day for Cardiff and we need it NOW.

We can not let them get screwed over by their unscrupulous chairman.

Football United will never be defeated.

Yeah, the anti-Fans Utd sarcasm is not quite so funny any more, is it? I wonder why ;)

Petty i know but it's just one of the annoying, meaningless things you lot do. Not doing it so much now i bet.

I believe this Ayatollah thing was started by a local band who were CCFC and has been a known thing at NP a long time before most people on this board even went to an away game. I remember going to Ninian Park (when we were shit - do you remember them times) and they were doing it then. It's not new Magoo and is a part of CCFC history. A bit like the fans united game against Hartlepool is for us.

If CCFC go into administration as a result of this (and I hope they don't) then all those bets on relegation at 7/2 will look tasty with 10 points deducted!

Well, Sam turned up today to meet the fans - I guess that's a good sign that they might be able to salvage the situation there.

I wasn't disputing whether it was new or not was I? Just annoying and meaningless, unless you're Hamman.

What ARE you on about? You don't seem to have grasped this yet, so I'll try to spell it out for you a little more clearly:

THE AYATOLLAH GREETING / CELEBRATION THAT CARDIFF FANS USE HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH SAM HAMMAM.

Poor old Sleeping giant. All that shit you were giving us in the bottom Division. Remember when you scraped in third to go up. All that shit about you being a big club and that under Sam would end up in the Premiershite. And we all told you he would fleece you but you wouldn't listen.

Always shit on the welsh side of the fence i say.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of neanderthals. Hope your still doing your Ayatollah in the Welsh League. :p

It's funnier if anything! If Fans United couldn't save Wrexham with their piffling £4 million debt, then what's it going to do for us with our £32 million debt? We'll need a bit more than a few bucket collections to sort that out!

Here's something to cheer OTLW up: the shareholder who is currently attempting to wrestle control of Cardiff City Football Club away from the evil Sam Hammam is a multi-millionaire property developer who has served a prison sentence for fraud!

Leave OTLW alone. He's only tried to do his best for any club who has asked fans united for help.

Not that you need to worry about property developers, the council owns Ninian Park.

My point, dear Biscuit, is that OTLW has often said that the FA should be ensuring that only 'right and proper people' can own football clubs, but he's never once suggested how this miracle can be achieved.

Cardiff City's current situation is a case in point. We've been taken to the brink of bankruptcy by one dodgy character, and the guy who now seems most likely to rescue the club is a property developer who has done time for fraud. I presume he wouldn't qualify as a right and proper person in OTLW's eyes, but what's the alternative? Should CCFC fold instead of accepting this guy's help?

Regardless of the wankers associated with cardiff, it would be much much better to see them going down as an outplayed side, than having the reason that they got sold down the river by dodgy dealers.

For that reason, the FA should be vore involved in punishing, or forcing the business-hands of those behind the scenes, than docking points or allowing unscupulous and wholesale sellings-down-the-river.

We of all fans know about this sort of thing.

I hope it's not a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire though.

Like most football clubs (except franchise fc) CCFC are an important part of a community, a major part of their fans lives and a club with a long history in the Football league. It doesn't look like Cardiff are in immediate danger of going out of business and I sincerely hope they don't. if Cardiff fans want our support for any campaigns, I will be happy to help in any way I can.

Fans United.

Easy to say but impossible to do ... no doubt they would have said Chris Wright was a suitable candidate ... some of us think history suggests otherwise.

I carry no candle for Cardiff City. I hate that club with a passion. Will never forget the first time I saw them at LR, never forget coming out of the Millenium Stadium after they won the play-off final to find so many of them out looking for a ruck, coaches attacked on the way home, fire alarms in hotels, anti-English abuse etc etc. But you see, I'm falling into the same old stereotyping trap ... you're all poofs, we're all cockneys, Cardiff all scumbag hooligans ... it's bollocks! The vast majority of Cardiff City football fans are like the rest of us, decent people who just want to support their team, a bit of banter with the oppo and get on with their lives. For these people, I hope Hamman moves on, I hope their club survives. I also hope that our last game of the season sees us gain some sweet revenge and we send Cardiff City down...but I do genuinely hope they survive!

From the BBC website

Players' union could help Cardiff

Cardiff could be given a loan by the Professional Footballers' Association to help pay their players' salaries.

PFA deputy chief executive Mick McGuire told BBC Wales Sport: "Since 1980 we've been assisting clubs financially.

"It is our members' money so we have to be very careful and prudent how we spent it and who we loan to, especially since the salaries have gone up.

"At this stage we are discussing all options with the club and trying to give the players some comfort."

Cardiff failed to fulfil its £750,000 wage bill at the beginning of March, and official accounts released on Saturday showed debts totalling £29.6m at the Championship club.

One of the club's highest earners, Graham Kavanagh, has already been sold to a rival club and others are set to follow him through the exit door.

BBC Wales Sport understands that some of the Ninian Park staff have now been paid, but redundancies are expected as the board looks for financial cut-backs to avoid going into administration.

Being a bit picky here but is that £750,000 wage bill just for March?
That seems an awful lot

How big are the wages Cardiff players are earning?
Do they really need skint football fans and the PFA to pay thier wages?
