I for one would be dissapointed if another club went to the wall. Not matter what you think Cardiff the team, Cardiff the City, Cardiff the fans etc the team is well loved by those that support it and those that love the game in general. Cardiff have lots of genuine fans that supported us and continue to do so during our struggles with our previous board and I will be eternaly gratefull for that. So IMO I hope they don't go into adminsitration and continue to get the ground developed and move onwards and upwards (albeit in our wake !!).

A scenario

Brighton are relegated by 1 point this season however if Cardiff to go under then Brighton survive

Would you vote champiionship survival over Cardiff's "survival"

I know what I'd choose everyday of the week

Perhaps you could have a 'wear Burberry for Cardiff' day?

Hmmm....thats got potential.

What about doing something to keep the Soul Crew even more involved?

What if...
we had a sponsored 'off'. Where lads from firms from all over the country could be sponsored to be involved in a big pre-arranged ruck somewhere in Cardiff? Every participant could be given a small badge or maybe a cheaply produced mass 'firms united' t-shirt.

Or, maybe the soul crew could organise a 'firm F.A cup'. Whereby all the firms in the country pay 100quid each to enter the competition. Firms face each other in a *ahem* knock out style format, just like the real F.A cup. Teams are drawn, obviously, from a burberry cap. The winners progress to the next round until finally we're left with the best two firms in the country, who battle it out in an industrial estate somewhere in the suburbs of cardiff. All proceeds to go to Cardiff City F.C and uncle Sam.

What do you think?

All sounds good to me. Mind you, I'm concerned about the idea of Fans United bucket collections at Ninian Park. We get in trouble here when we start lobbing coins about.....

Here's the latest from the South Wales Echo:

Isaac rejects rumours of a rift with Hammam

Mar 3 2005 (Terry Phillips, South Wales Echo)

MICHAEL Isaac today totally rejected rumours of a rift with owner Sam Hammam: "We are stronger than ever, working virtually 24 hours a day for Cardiff City," said Isaac.

"There is no rift, we are brothers in arms."

But it looks certain vice-chairman Isaac will have more of a say in the running of Cardiff City.

Multi-millionaire Isaac is the man who has paid the club's staff wages for the last few months and he offered to do the same again this week.

But the board decided they had to take a hard look at the Ninian Park operation following new delays which mean work on the stadium won't start until July or August.

Hammam has dominated the club with his driving enthusiasm, total commitment and links with Bluebirds fans, but from now on Isaac and the other directors will have far more of a say.

Lebanon-born Hammam remains the majority shareholder, but Isaac could well increase his shareholding. While Hammam has put £3.5m into the club and guaranteed loans, Isaac's personal investment now stands at £2m.

"Sam and I have never been closer," said Isaac. "Talk of a rift is way off the mark. We have had to make some tough decisions, but that's all part of business.

"We have spent almost every waking hour either together or talking by telephone over the last few days.

"I have the utmost admiration for what Sam has achieved at Cardiff City. He has done a remarkable job in a short time.

"There are few people, if any, who could have done that. Now we all need to work together and that is what is happening.

"We are strong, we are together and working to make Cardiff City even more successful."

Don't rise to him TLB. I for one would offer any support I could if Cardiff wanted it. Fans United has acheived just that, shame it's not really had any concrete success in stopping the unscrupulous people in our game. Cardiff get reasonable crowds, the people running the club should be doing better with their revenue.

All the best TLB, Fans United at Ninian Park? Who Knows.

Can't help it. I'll tell you why. At the time of the Leeds 'riot', the Sun ran a bullshit story about Sam Hammam acknowledging the Soul Crew with the 'Ayatollah'. That story was repeated again earlier this week on the BBC's website. I bet Magoo is a Sun reader who thinks the Ayatollah is a hooligan thing, when it's actually nothing of the sort.

The phrase “Fans United” says what it means. It doesn’t say yobs or coin throwers, or prats that are out for trouble, it says Fans.
If CCFC are in trouble and its fans ask for help by attending a “Fans United”, if it is at all possible, I will definitely be there.
TLB, you have my support.

Thanks, but I think everybody is getting a bit over-excited.

Cardiff's financial problems are complex, and we're talking debts of at least £30 million. But we have a couple of multi-millionaires on the board, and if they get more heavily involved as is being reported, then this latest episode may well prove a good thing for the club in the long term.

At least you have a ground...:(

And at least the council owns it, so Hammam can't sell it to cover the debts he's run up!

Why?

Because over the years Cardiff fans have hardly done anything to endear themselves to us have they? Whether it be spitting at us, throwing coins at us and ripping our seats out. And it doesn't even seem to be a minority of your supporters.

I really would be more sorry to see Palace in trouble than Cardiff. And i for one won't be sorry if you went down, down, down. There's no other team in the league i'd say this about.

You're entitled to your opinion. But you still haven't explained what any of this has got to do with the Ayatollah thing?

Petty i know but it's just one of the annoying, meaningless things you lot do. Not doing it so much now i bet.

And i've just noticed you've got 'Fans divided' under your name. What's that about?

I think that's a dig at me. If you look back at our discussions, their are several hints that me and the Bluebird don't exactly get on.. especially on Fans United issues.

But as I say, I don't think its as bad as some of us think. I'll avoid using the 'W' word..(thats Wrexham not wanker), but I hope eveything works out for Cardiff. I'm sure it will.
