Been mentioned before, don't know much about the player mind.

It has been knocking around as a rumour for a week or so as a season long loan. He is 6'4" and started out as a centre back but it seems Arsenal see his future as a left back which is where he has played for the first team. As rumours go it may well have legs. It certainly ticks all the boxes.

Which NSC contributer writes for the Sussex Express?

My Arsenal ST holding mate reckons it would be a great signing. He reckons he could be the real deal.
Came through Barca acadamy, Spanish U19 capt, played last year for Arsenal in Champs League and Premiership, but my mate reckons Arsenal are after a Dutch left-bk/ centre-bk and if that deal comes off then Wenger will loan him out for the season, to get experience and to beef him up a bit.
So not total bullshit, may depend if Wenger gets his Dutch target.

All very well this Spanish flair, but will they stand up to the power long ball merchants in the league?

Not really something they grew up playing against and they wont have wet bag Euro refs blowing his whistle for every bit of minor contact.

Spanish football has its fair share of direct and physical teams. Deportivo are\were a good mix of skill and physicality.

Have you not seen the Spanish of old they were butchers I know they have moved on but it's not something they have never experienced and at 6foot 4 he should be able.

Saw him play last season in a pre season friendly against Hastings. It was rumoured then that we were looking at him.

To be fair, he had bugger all to do that day. Arsenal ran out something like 8-0 winners.

At this rate we are going to need a translator for the English guys we have in our team, just until they pick up the local lingo in their home city of costa del Brighton.

Miquel would be a great signing. Have seen him play on numerous occassions and has never looked out of place. Good pace, plenty of height and comfortable on the ball. Would be a perfect fit.
