This is only really going to go one way isn't it? Lots of snipes from the right of centre that NSC is left / woke / liberal biased. The fact is the club represents a City which in turn is represented by two openly gay Labour MPs and a Green.

As a socialist I personally don’t feel Labour represent me anymore.
I feel the way Corbyn was thrown under the bus regarding Palestine was disgraceful especially as now (IMO) he’s been proved right.

As a socialist I'd rather the country was run by capitalists who believe in social justice and want to do stuff like Sure Start, BSftF and the minimum wage than by evil lunatics. Having lived most of my adult ruled by the latter, I can't afford to be precious about the faults of the former. Like @Thunder Bolt I'll have to vote tactically anyway. That hurts in this constituency, but we've got Falmer now, so my enemy's enemy is my friend.

I have never voted Labour, and I won’t be starting now, I reckon Labour deserve a go but I have no confidence whatsoever in Starmer or Rayner. It could be worse…we’ll see

Of course Brighton has always been full of lefty yoghurt knitting wokerati, but as is often pointed out, Brighton fans on NSC tend to come from a slightly wider geographical area, much of which has traditionally been conservative and liberal, particularly in the immediate south east area outside of Brighton.

So maybe the reason you have no idea what 'I'm trying to prove', is because 'I'm not trying to prove anything'

I've said I'll vote Labour, but actually if I'm completely confident they'll win in my constituency (by which I really mean completely confident of the Conservative losing, but that comes down to the same thing) then I'll vote for whichever of the Lib Dems or Greens have a policy on voting reform that appeals to me more.

Spoiled ballot for me

I think that's where I'm headed. I believe that voting should be compulsory given our long struggle for a universal franchise. But I cannot bring myself currently to vote for any of the options. To be fair my old constituency only ever had four candidates and I don't know what the option will be now I've moved.

It's currently had 500+views, 150 votes and 60 posts from NSC posters who have shown a bit of common sense, humour and maturity in their contributions. I do accept that it does have the potential to go 'pear shaped' and if it does, I am genuinely sorry for any hassle caused to the admin team on here
