I don’t suppose the manager uses any surnames unless in a nickname form. The manager calls him JP
Exactly. JP for Jan Paul, not João PedroI don’t suppose the manager uses any surnames unless in a nickname form.
For the manager yes, but we normally refer to surnames so I’d go with JPVH. As someone else said the context will normally make it clear who a poster is referring to if they use JP.Exactly. JP for Jan Paul, not João Pedro
Difference is we've had an average of 8 out every game other teams have fluctuated, we just constantly have 8+ out.I think we now have 8 injuries - luckily Welbeck, Wieffer, and Hinshelwood look close to returns. JP hoping that it really is just a mundane twisted ankle and he'll be back next week. March's return has been remarkable - looking forward to perhaps seeing him at Nowrich. Ferdi and Igor though has been a blow.
No denying that we have lost a lot of time to injured players (and on that measurement we top the league) .
But for those thinking this must be a "Brighton" problem and speculating reasons as to why. Then you'd have to think why do Wolves, Spurs, Newcastle and Brentford - have the same number of injured players or more. ?
A lot of this injury discussion for Brighton - recovery times, number of players, speculation - often happens without the context of the PL and football in general where , yep, players do get frequently injured.
Normal recovery time for the surgery Feedi has had is 4-6 months so very likely he’s out for the season.Igor was a few months out. Is Kadioglu done for the season? Or no time frame?

Not seen anywhere to suggest weiffer back soon ...
I agree with this. Injuries are just the reality now.Spurs , Brentford and Newcastle have had that all season.
Not downplaying our injuries - but there's a strong sense on here that its WOE US , without any context. re other clubs as if we're the only club where players have operations, ACLS, pick up hamstring injuries or return times take longer than expected. We're not.
And the minutes out table - which we topped a few weeks ago - is only one way of measuring it .
Liverpool have 3I agree with this. Injuries are just the reality now.
I guess a different take might be ‘what are clubs who don’t have as many injuries doing differently to the rest of us’?
It can’t all be good/bad luck surely? Or can it?
As at December 10th spurs had 16 players out for a combined period of 408 daysSpurs , Brentford and Newcastle have had that all season.

Yep. of course the numbers are the numbers and not down playing them - . But looking for a Brighton specific narrative - when other clubs (Spurs, Ipswich etc) and others have profile ACLs (eg: Rodri for City ) - i don't see it. Or worse the idea that its due to things like ptiches, training, or other speculative theories pushed on here.As at December 10th spurs had 16 players out for a combined period of 408 days
Brentford 8 players 286 days
Newcastle 10 players 252 days
Brighton 17 players and a whopping 638 days.
We are far worse than other teams.

I remember when all the medical experts on NSC stated for sure that there were injuries under RDZ because he was over training. After some information emerged on here they all then decided it was because he wasn't training them enough......Yep. of course the numbers are the numbers and not down playing them - .
