[Albion] If Ferguson is now worth £51m, maybe Hürzeler might consider letting him play?

Same with Rutter. They both give real energy and physicality so no concerns about either playing up top.
Exactly. Based on the performances in the last year, we have plenty of players able to contribute as much or more than Evan does up front. He desperately needs to play football somewhere where he is really needed. Better to bring in a different striker than Evan sticking around, though I don't think we need that either.

well there's the dilemma right there ! I can see both sides to this but obviously you'd argue that Ferguson on loan at the moment is remote.
(but i still don't think we should rule it out ) .
Hopefully Pedro is just a routine ankle twist with quick recovery and nothing more serious.
PS: Although not a traditional CF as per Ferguson/Welbeck - Georginho is not the worst option in terms of a replacement.
I can't help but feel that the club's "opportunistic" summer transfer window has led to a slightly uneven squad (especially in attack).

You'd obviously think that with Welbeck injured, Ferguson would walk into the team but we've shoehorned Enciso, Georginio, Minteh, and Adingra into the starting XI in the past month, which has meant playing the undroppable (rightly imo) Pedro out of position at the expense of young Evan. He has quite clearly been starved of opportunity when fit (rightly or wrongly) and I can imagine he'd quite like to head on loan to another Premier League club for the rest of the season before heading back to the Albion in the summer and assessing his options.

Don't think I'd have expected JP to start on Saturday anyway so Rutter and Enciso up top probably always the plan anyway.

TBF I'm fairly certain he would have done so in the last month but he's been injured.
You'd have hoped so, but we did lose Welbeck after Southampton and Evan was fit for 4 games without Danny in the squad and only got a solitary start against Leicester (where he was okay and unlucky not to get an assist).

I get he's out of form and looking a bit lost on the pitch this season so completely understand taking him out of the firing line, I just don't think we have really given him enough playing time to get into form this year.

Saying that, with Pedro and Welbeck injured, I'm sure he'd have been starting if fit.

All these injuries and rumours about some players falling out with Fab just doesn't look good at all. Injuries are unfortunate but my god we have suffered for some reason. Too much intensity in training?
We had injuries last season when Roberto was under training the team!

Hamstring injuries seem to be a big issue this season, well it seems higher than normal
Players are just going to break down with the amount and style of football being played by most managers now.

I thought van Hecke was JPVH.
I think both options are in use, but usually context makes it clear who is being talked about - after all, Van Hecke/JP/JPVH is in central defence and Pedro/JP is an attacker, so there isn't usually any conflict of understanding.
The 'If Rutter isn't fit we can play Georginio' type 'joke' is wearing pretty thin now though.

The manager calls him JP

JP is Van Hecke's nickname within the club. I tend to type JPVH when referring to him on here though to avoid any confusion with Joao Pedro, who himself is known by his first names rather than his family names of Junqueira de Jesus, so maybe we should start calling him by his paternal family name but drop the de.

Really?
Perhaps you could name them. FYI, those suffering from injuries other than hamstring include:
Ferdi, Dunk, Welbeck, Ferguson, O'Riley, Joao Pedro, Hinshelwood, and probably some others too.
