Cereal Killer said:im going to vote BNP in the next election.
Mouldy Boots said:I said to a Labour mate of mine i will give them five years before they start fu*king the country up and i reckon i was pretty close.
Mind you i am sure he won't see it that way.
Why could't Blair have been ginger and he never would have got in.

don't forget "on your bike" Tebbitt.
Southy, what made you remain a member from 94-98?
Southy said:People like Benn, Skinner, Corbyn. I left when we bombed Serbia I think. Still believe the only way we'll get anything like a socialist Govt is via democracy. You left after clause 4 went I take it?
bigc said:I was 8 when clause 4 went!
Never been a member but have a background in it from my family.
Both of my parents were members but left after 1992 I think..
My mum was actually going to be the Brighton Pavilion candidate for Labour in 1987 but she had to pull out because of my impending birth..lol.
London Irish said:I can remember Dave Hill fighting the seat back in 1987 - in those days before the electoral boundary changes, we had little hope in Pavilion against Julian Amery, all the focus was on winning Kemptown, but would be interested to know who your mum is too.
bigc said:Sarah Cullen
she was a councillor in the mid 80s for the regency ward.
bigc said:Did you know Andy then?
I've met him twice talking about Brighton Homeless Trust who he now works for, and for whom I raised money for this xmas.
He seemed a really inspirational and decent guy, the sort of person that I would want in MY labour party.
LI, I dare not ask you about Bassam then?
Southy said:Absolutely agree about Andy and Jean. She now runs the womans refuge and campaigns tirelessy against domestic violence. I was in 7 Dials Ward untill it got suspended, people like Richard and Linda Austin, Ruchard Stanton, again a thriving local ward shut down in the early 90's anti Militant purge. The joke was that 7 dials was about as un'Militant' as anywhere. Was it 5 Councillors who got thrown out of the party for not paying the Poll Tax?
