I turned down a Wembley Ticket

Today I declined an offer of a box ticket at Wembley on Sat. for the Pompey game with catering and parking included. Why? So I can go to the Port Vale game. Am I mad?

Are they for the Pompey end? How much and where are they now?

To be honest, if you'd rather go to Wemberlee to watch Pompey than go to Withdean & watch the Albion, you are probably turning into what is known as a GLORY HUNTER.

God I f***ing hate Pompey. (& Palace of course).

Not really matey, you know where to go to enjoy a game when you support that team.

Wise choice

How can that be a glory hunter and actually Pompey are quite supportive of us. They hate Southampton not us. They have been in lower divs and they hope we go up. Many of them signed postcards for us.

How can going to watch Portsmouth at Wembley in a cup semi final instead of the club you support against Portvale NOT be glory hunting?

I'd rather eat my own spleen than miss an important Albion game to watch Portsmouth.

A trip to Wemberlee in an executive box and free food and parking is a good reason to miss a Brighton game no matter what two teams you are watching. And going by this years cup its likley to be a good game! Two teams both playing well at the right end of the table both will fancy themselves to win it if they get through the semis! I say your mad!!

yeh but its Portsmouth v West Brom, instead of a crucial Brighton game!

Wembley, executive box, free food, and parking AT the stadium

Vs

Wind, rain, crap food and queing for busses trains for 20mins afterwards

I know what one Id choose given the choice!

Sadly I dont have a choice so i'll have to settle for the second option!

One would be a game with 22 men and no interest in who won.
The other would have my heart in it, panicking if we went a goal down, ecstatic if we get an early goal and generally involving my emotions rather than just sitting there watching something/anything.
No amount of pleasant surroundings, food or convenience is going to make up for that.

The question we all have is for next Tuesday...

We can stay at home to watch Liverpool v Arsenal on the box in an important match or... we can get ourselves off to Southend to enjoy the match.

Me? - My ticket for Southend arrived yesterday and I'm getting excited about the match already..
