Not being unfaithful. But will go to the final if they get there. I support BHA but that does not mean I have to hate Pompey for things that happened decades ago

No i'm agreeing with you. I told him to go....but he said he'd rather go to Port Vale now he's getting stick from others on here :yawn:

:thumbsup:

I must admit as much as I like the Albion i'm struggling to think of a reason why I would turn down an opportunity like he had.

Turned down champions league Man Utd v PSV once from a supplier. He just didn’t understand when I said it clashed with us playing Hartlepool.

No it isn't. I live there and it is really not that bad. Has a bad reputation which I really can't understand. Fratton's a shit-hole and Southsea isn't great either but Portsmouth itself is a fairly average place.

Apart from your road, which I'm sure is lovely, its a HORRIBLE place.

Every third news story on the local news is about somebody being fatally stabbed on Southsea front.

Southsea = grim.
Fratton = grim
Portsmouth traffic = grim
Portsmouth women = frightening* [*apart from any SM may be related to / friends with / involved with / married to]
The gateway to Portsea island? A massive landfill site. Says it all.

I think I hate Pompey more than Palace, it probably comes down to TV coverage given that Pompey are always splashed across the local news. You hear sod all about Palace except when they are occasionally flirting with the playoff places.

Are they for the Pompey end? How much and where are they now?

which end is the pompey end? they are block 143, almost half way between the tunnel and the nw end. they are here at my house in medstead/alton. a donation to remf would be the cost but i cannot go anywhere to deliver them.

bozza - i have the tickets because they are part of the club package.

Paddy - given that you LIVE in POMPEY territory, it can't be hard to shift them, if you can be arsed?

you would have thought so. i offered them around but either everyone has their own games to attend or just plain couldn't be bothered. will try the pub tonight otherwise they will be empty seats.

Seems very odd, given that the local news has been going on and on and on and on, about the skate all CAMPING at Fratton Park all week to get the last few tickets!

i know! i saw on the south today website that they were all queued up and sat on three piece suites and stuff. which amuses me greatly. probably dragged it down on their back and while haul it back to their lounge after.

I can see what ur saying, but its really not that bad IMO. I've not been living there for long (I'm a 1st year student there), maybe its different for students but to be fair I've had the time of my life so far. It may be different for students, but I've never felt negatively about the place.

I've been offered a ticket to the FA Trophy Final, Torquay v Ebbsfleet. My friend's cousin plays for Ebbsfleet and I've been asked if I'd like to go along. Free ticket to Wembley? Why not, plus I haven't been yet. Then I realised that that day, the 10th May, might be a Play-Off game involving Brighton. I've said yes provisionally to my friend but obviously the Albion take priority!

PS, my friend's cousin is the Ebbsfleet goalkeeper, one Lance Cronin.

Perhaps that name will ring a bell with a few people...

One would be a game with 22 men and no interest in who won.
The other would have my heart in it, panicking if we went a goal down, ecstatic if we get an early goal and generally involving my emotions rather than just sitting there watching something/anything.
No amount of pleasant surroundings, food or convenience is going to make up for that.
Well said, that woman:thumbsup:
