I went for a number of reasons, some good, some bad and some indifferent. I had never been to Ninian Park before and wanted to go there before the place is buldozed and they move to their new ground, it is one of the few grounds at our current level with an olde world feel to it, so many clubs are moving to flash new corporate funded stadia that are difficult to tell apart.

On the slightly mercenary side, without getting out a road map and compass, I reckoned it was our closest game to home (in Gloucester) this season and easily the easiest to get to. It was only my third game of the season and the first time that I have been to three away games in a row for many a year, geography and financial strife had put paid to my football following exploits and despite being far from flush I wanted to enjoy some Championship football whilst I still can.

I wouldn't criticise anyone for not going to Cardiff, as they say you pays your money and takes your choice, undoubtedly their reputation will have put some off, as will the distance and the fact that you have to pay to get into the country, unless you go the long way round.

You don't have to pay to get into Wales. You have to pay to get out of England. The tolls are on the English side of the bridge.....

Run by a French company. If there's a better example of how the English are routinely taken for a ride by all those that lead them or come into contact with them, then I don't really want to know.
Are we being punished for being world leaders?

Never mind. Look on the bright side. Ninian Park is a MUCH more exciting place to visit than the Millennium Eggdome.

Honest......

Probably. The tolls on the old bridge are on the English side. The tolls for the new crossing are on the Welsh side.

Watching eggchasing is a poor excuse under any circumstances.

I had the choice of taking my missus over from Australia around Brighton & then to my Mothers 60th birthday, or to Wales to watch a bunch of pikey Welsh hooligans trying to kill us with coins, darts & other weapons.

It was a close call

Was going to be playing football for my local team, until 12 when it was called off. Too late to go to Cardiff, watched rugby with other half and her visiting family from, you guessed it, Cardiff.
