Yeah that's right, Barnes came off and THAT'S why the defence lost concentration.

It had nothing to do with the fact there were 10 minutes to go and, just like any other football match where one side has been ahead by a single goal, the opposition came at them and put pressure on them. I'm sure if BARNES was on the pitch, his contribution from the left hand side of midfield would've been invaluable in stopping N'Gog running unopposed through the centre to put it in.

One thing I have noticed, is that when Barnes goes through a bad patch, and lots of people clamour for him to be dropped - he turns it around and scores fairly soon after (sometimes even twice)... I wouldn't write him off yet...

I've been clamouring for him to be dropped since halfway through last season. He is shit!!!!! Too many excuses from Barnes fans, you can't keep making them. People have been on his back for over a year now, obviously something is not right here.

I recall barnes warming up before coming on for eastbourne at lewes he seemed very chatty and a nice young man,leave him alone you bullies

It's about taking responsibility. Barnes stepped up Saturday and failed not once but twice.Who else are we going to blame? It's not the first penalty his missed. Does anyone think if he plays tonight and we get a penalty. He will be taking it? Time for a change,give someone else a chance. The team played well on Saturday apart from one mistake at the end. But when we play well, we have to take our chances and they do not come much easier then a penalty or an open side of the goal when the keeper is on the floor after stopping your penalty.
