Although I have supported the Albion for almost 50 years and now live in walking distance of the ground I decided to stop attending matches until we are promoted. I made this decision when the board failed to strengthen the side last season which resulted in relegation. I hope cash will be made available now to ensure we get out of this division,if not the efforts already made will be wasted.Gates are going down another season in Div 1 will result in even lower gates next season

I am considering not bothering to buy the two tickets I was going to buy for tomorrow night ...just to piss off the board troll.

I could then start a thread tomorrow night blaming bed and breakfast for the lower attendance.

Am in the UK for only ten days at the end of Jan for the fırst time in nearly two years with my family and yet I'll still be at the Northampton game. Does this make me a superfan?

(Don't tell them that your Dad gets free tickets for Northampton games!!!!)

For myself, every home game is a major undertaking, involving 170 miles, £15 of petrol, plus the tickets for 3, yet I've managed every one so far.

Its my choice to do it, of course, and I don't want any medals, but I think its worth stressing that the extra cost and effort involved, as opposed to say strolling along from a luxury house in BN1, makes me a BETTER fan than TIM.

Brighton have 4000 fans who would turn up to watch them in the Conference, we are down to the bear bones of the support at the moment, that is because of mainly Withdean, people are sick of the whole experience, that was shown by less than 5000 BHAFC fans coming on a pleasant dry and very mild November day to watch a team on a good run.

The crowd will continue to be piss poor at Withdean now for the next 3 seasons. A lot of people are keeping their money dry and saving up for a sth for Falmer I would think and they will then come on board.

Also there are a lot of other things to do than watch extremely average 3rd division football ( the football on offer since 8/06 from all teams has been woeful ) for a team in transition with no genuine expectations of progress for 2-3 more years in a crap stadium with crap burgers, no facilites and queues for the loo. Its a crap experience even on a dry day. We could see 4000 in January in the South Westerly gales and rain. Is £ 25 value for money, absolutely not, I had 100 times more entertainment at the Theatre Royal Saturday before last watching Slava's Snowshow for £ 27 than going to Withdean. Is it Dick Knight fault, emphatically no, its not even Wilkins fault, it is as it is and being told off by " superfan " Tim is not going to change that.

Why do I do it, because I love my club.

What, as opposed to having to take time off from work to make k.o. And not getting home until after midnight? :jester:
