Admittedly we have had some good results this season but how much has that been on his set up / influence vs our squads talents and the short comings at the time of the opposition?

He says a lot of things you’d want to see in the written form but I just can’t get inspired by him and the delivery lacks charisma or substance.

It remains unclear to me how we are meant to be playing, if we have an identity and what’s the pathway both tactically and personnel to get us there / optimal. Before he joined I read a fair bit on collective defending, a DM dropping in and forming a back five and being hard to beat. I haven’t see this regularly and if anything to the contrary we are not hard to beat currently. Play direct and destroy us.

I just don’t see him being the man to drive us forward and I’m not convinced he’s ever had the dressing room fully.

A harsh view maybe with us in 10th and maybe we’ve been spoilt recently but I can’t see us getting better as it stands

He doesn’t inspire or excite me, that’s me, if the players feel the same then that’s seriously concerning. I just got the feeling, the players would have run through a brick wall for RDZ, they knew their roles and bought into his philosophy, don’t get the same feeling with Fab.

Six new players to shoe-horn in (eight now, since the January window - and four more to come in in the summer) to a pretty united and together squad caused a fair bit of unsettling, especially as collectively their impact has been less than great.

No, almost exclusively it's been down to injuries or players like Rutter, March, O'Riley, Gomez etc being unable to play for 90 minutes. He's consistently said he would like to play a settled team.

You need selection, formation, intelligent deployment, tactics, method, ability to target personal duels, rehearsed manoeuvres with the ball, understanding of opponent specific weak points, methods to win ball back, in game changes, tactical adjustments, creating overloads, minimising transition threats, achieving offensive overloads, set piece effectiveness, defending set piece organisation, and many other things.

in place of all that, we have “togetherness and intensity”. Clueless. 5th choice, out of his depth.
